The hierarchs do not wish to disclose such information at this time. Let it be known that we neither confirm nor deny the claims made by the Egyptians.
Yes it is Alexi... how? Did you build the Oracle while the Sumerians were destroying your cities?
And barb spears? Yep, I hate them. Too tough for warriors and they walk past archers on hills. Good against Chariots so you need to link up copper to counter them. Infuriating if you've not got copper linked up yet (and I normally don't by the time they appear).
Coming back to the discussion about score and how its calculated - i got a massive (70+ points) score boost last turn, and it was all from Land (ie. the "land" subscore in the score breakdown was the only one that grew that turn). Now i know that i gained no new land that turn, nor the previous turn.
Maybe the land points are not given linearry (that is, for every bit of land you get a fixed sum of points), but relatively to what the turn is, how much land others got etc. There must be a forum post that explains it all, but its more interesting to speculate than to go and actually read it
Seeing as there's no real way you can use this information, I'll explain to you what happened:
A few turns ago, I spotted the pretty faces of two War Chariots coming towards my newly built city. It only had 1 Archer in it, with one more coming over in 3 turns, but not quickly enough to come before the Chariots. Running the odds, I knew that the city would be destroyed. And destroyed is what it would be, due to its 1 population.
So I contacted the Egyptians and averted war by giving them the city. Their anger has since been deflected towards the Maya. Oh, and I got the Oracle.
