Good to know. Surprised the Egyptians had success vs. the Maya with their non-Bronze-needing Holkans.

Sent to Ardi again.

Damn. Wouldn't wanna be in that corner of the world.

However, this all depends on how much your archer was fortified. {...}Still, mind you, a "passable" choice, due to the fact that you're getting someone's city, after all.

I went off the odds from the combat log. Chariot + 20% vs. Archer + 100% (+50% city, +25% hill, +25% base hill). Combat log said 20% odds, your website says 24.x%, which takes it from 4-1 to 3-1 but still not enough (imo) to start a war!According to this http://c4combat.narod.ru/c4c.htm , a chariot with 20% strength against archer w/ 50% from city and 25% from fortify would be 32% / 68% odds.
Sure, if my only defender were an archer it is plausible, but with an axe also, the chariot loses 4 times from 5 and with only an archer to back up the attack...Tankra said:Still, mind you, a "passable" choice, due to the fact that you're getting someone's city, after all.
Out of game diplomacy is fine imo.Mîtiu Ioan said:@Espírito
I didn't receive any in-game message from you !
The city was just founded - but on a hill, so with better chances for the archers. I didn't check the odds anyway ... but I belive that the archer was just fortified inside so no bonus from here. As I said - it was a "desperation attack" because I spotted also a spearman heading to reinforce the archer + axeman defense there ....However, this all depends on how much your archer was fortified. {...}Still, mind you, a "passable" choice, due to the fact that you're getting someone's city, after all.
BTW - one more question : it's allowed to have an "outside the game diplomacy" in this game ?

My message basically explained that a war between us is in neither of our interests as we're both already falling behind the others. Unfortunately it seems you don't agree, so war it will be though it will cause us to both lose this game.
) it's likely that you also have no clue on true reasons of my strong motivation - but I'll provide you a ( very ) important information : the city which I just razed almost prevent me to get access to the only "somehow-available" metal-resource which I spotted ...

That's a bit more understandable at least... but by destroying my city don't you think will annoy me enough that I won't allow you to connect up the resource?Mîtiu Ioan;11413228 said:But I will disclose why I purely and simply I can't let you found & hold that city - as long as other players will not be able to use this info anyway and for the moment I managed to fulfill my objectives. I won't lose interest. Revenge is a powerful motivator ;-)Tankra said:Cause if you guys both fall behind and lose interest, the game is pretty much dead.

Oh and someone got a great general. That's pretty chill. My guess is on Gareth. Am I right?
