The Multipolar World (MP)

Only if Italy departed from it (departure would be counterintuitive to its own interests imo), besides "world domination" need not be violent.

Yep, I watched an SG-1 episode where some affably evil advanced aliens gave humanity some really sweet tech and meds. After 8 years, they started distributing some drugs that doubled the lifespan and cured cancer but smashed ovaries, and no one found out for another 10 years.

Basically what I'm trying to say is that world domination without conquest is even more evil.

Robbery in China - failure. 168 Chinese agents killed; 235 enemy agents killed.

Moscow suitcased. SUCCESS. 52 defenders killed; 41 attackers killed. Thankfully, Moscow is not as large a city as it was in old times, but the detonation of a weapon so close to the capital does intimidate the Russians. 80,000 civilians and 28,000 soldiers are killed. Countless pieces of Russian history and culture are decimated.

Steal technology from China. Failure. 90 defenders; 150 attackers killed.

==Sicilian War==

The Sicilian Civil War sees Italian/Free Sicily beset by a coup.

The uprising throws out the pro-Papal government. Word of this reaches the Papal forces, who understand that an attack would surely bring in the Comintern. Rather than risk a world war, the Papal forces change course for Greece, their enemy.

Korea searches its own territory. No bases found.

Coup in Astrakhan - failure. 40 Astrakhani killed, 79 enemies killed.

==War on the NGOs - Fleetway Realm==

Agents search Iblis, Vladivostok, Ojibwe - 2 Lancer bases found in Vladivostok and 2 in Ojibwe. 8 REDSPYIA bases. 8 India bases. 2 Templar bases. The REDSPYIA, Templar and Indian bases are exterminated without resistance due to lack of personnel.

Iblis leads his horde against the 4 Lancer bases. The Ojibwe air force purges the Lancer bases they've discovered, and 2 air wings are shot down. Iblis dispatches 50 air wings to attack the Lancers in Vladivostok. The Lancers are obliterated and shoot down 2 planes.

Steal money from China. Failure. 216 attackers; 72 defenders killed.

Rome suitcased. Failure. 100 attackers killed; 70 defenders killed. 1 PB confiscated.

Agents coup NCSA - failure. 39 enemies killed; 39 NCSA killed.

Coup in France - failure. 149 attackers, 125 defenders killed.

Riots in China - failure. 126 defenders killed; 175 attackers killed.

Agents search for terrorists in PUB. 5 REDSPYIA bases destroyed

Suitcase bombs in Korea. 3 T1 PBs and 1 T1 CW are confiscated; however, a nuke goes off in the nation's capital. Korea, after its quick recovery, is dealt ANOTHER blow. Fortunately, it has killed off 124 enemies while losing 79 of its own. 12,000 soldiers and 470,000 civilians are killed. Korea loses 3/4 of its economic output from the devastating blow. It goes from 2300 projected GDP to 590. The UN cannot hope to replace the lives lost, but injects 1180 into the Korean economy, putting GDP at 1154.

==Russian Civil War Redux==

Riots in Russia. Success. 25 defenders killed; 21 attackers killed. 214 rise up. The poorly-equipped Russian Army would be swamped, but it has one trump card: an air force. The Czar gives the order to butcher his own people. 25 rebel forces are slaughtered by air fire. 7 are killed by naval fire. 320,000 Russians have been killed in the uprising and it's only the beginning.

Thus, only 182 actually make it to the front lines. 182 vs. 49.

Amazingly, the rebels win. They kill the entire Russian Army. Russia kills 11 rebel armies. In total, the Second Russian Civil War has claimed the lives of 430,000 rebels and 490,000 government forces.

The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics establishes itself in the north and east of Russia. Will history repeat itself?

===

Immediately after, the Russian capital is suitcased, killing 360,000 civilians and 18,000 soldiers.

Steal money from Russia - auto-fail. Russia's banks are dry due to accumulated debts.

Split in two to allow composition of RP.

China will send help to its Russian allies.

Today, the government assigned 3 new officers to the positions of overall commanders of the army, navy, and Air Force. New Army Commander-in-Chief, E.R.N. Rommel, said that he was 'proud to serve' in this capacity, and promised to 'prove to the politicians and the world that the British Army is not a secondary force to the Navy or Air Force. We will prove ouselves a useful part of the British military machine, and worthy of Proper investment in training and equipment!'

The Grand Admiral, H. Henderson, had similarly grand ambitions, declaring that he would attempt to ensure the PUB took a position in the top three, or even top two, great naval powers of the world. Whilst information from before Cataclysm is always sketchy, it was clear that at some point in the past the Isles had controlled one of the worlds greatest fleets, and the Grand Admiral was determined that it would do so again.

The Air Force was given over to the command of I.R.D. Baron, who stated that it was a great honor to take control of such an important arm of the British People, and that he would do his utmost to ensure clear skies over both Allied territory, and that of any enemies that might be foolish enough to attack.

So, is all of Russia replaced by the USSR, or are there two powers in Rus' now?

I think it's still split? The way he's worded it suggests so. "White" Russia may have lost all its troops, but Tani's stupid black box approach to combat makes it impossible to tell what anything means.

The last time a side in a civil war lost all it's troops (Quebec), that ended the war. Of course, that was all bombardment, which might not work the same as pitched battles in terms of army movement, as that didnt involve so many provinces.

USSR is a rebel faction within Russia, yes.

Combat's simple! :'C Troops * quality vs. their troops * quality. Add bonuses accordingly. Roll. Winner kills 25-50% of their value in the loser's military; loser kills 12.5-25% of their value of the winner's military.

As for Quebec - your professional troops were able to sweep in after blowing the crap out of the rebellion. This is a fresh rebellion, so while it's thrown the government forces out, it's not exactly capable of rolling into Minsk.

He was hinting at the fact that somehow the rebels can't occupy all of Russia with all Russian government forces killed, not the actual calculations.

The few, the brave; the strong. These words had meaning, in the glory days... before the world erupted into hellfire, and plunged the Angolan homeland into an abyss of radiation and dust. Now, the State had kept the nation moving. The ideals of socialism became ever stronger in the humbled Angolan nation, now largely based in Mongolia. Even the refugees, escaping from the last, wartorn holdouts in old Angola where only industry thrived, who had never seen a Mongolian before, felt a sense of comradeship.
The steady beat of boots across tarmac, of armoured vehicles roaring across the steppes, of jets screaming across the heavens was a common thing to hear and see in Mongola now. Troops were prepared to lay down their lives in defense of a place they had never seen until a few years ago; they were willing to lay down their lives for the ideal of the Revolution. Angola - now redubbed Mongola, in honour of the radiation-blasted lands of its homeland - will fight against the Monsters of the West - the Russo-Italian Alliance - and lay down every man, woman, and child in defense of the Comintern's member states and the ideals of socialism.
Let any who try to conquer it face the Might of the People and the Defiance of the Workers.

I already explained that. The rebels are a bunch of ragtag forces, hardly a first-rate military capable of blitzing across an entire country barring the areas they already rule. It is not inconceivable that within the two years each turn is, the government would be able to amass more troops.

Then how on earth did Christos blitzed across Thorvald's nation? :confused:

The PUB government has condemned the attepted Nuclear Terrorist attacks on various nations around the world. They had thought that perhaps the horrors of the three day war would have taught the nations of the world the mistakes made in the usage of such weapons. It seems however, that the people of the world have not taken these terrible lessons to heart. Clearly they have not learnt from history, and now, they will be doomed to repeat it.

In Unrelated news, the government has begun buying up stocks in the popcorn and anti-depressant drugs industries. Certain economists from the Dublin University have announced that these markets have a high probability of seeing large scale growth over the next 2 to 6 years. Similarly, anti-radiation equipment is expected to see large increases in demand, and producers are encouraged to begin investing in more production for these products.

The Increasingly large Gaps in PUB security have been commented on by the government. They say that whilst there has been a recent surge in illegal activity in the PUB, they do not fear for the safety of their own citizens so much as the safety of the citizens of certain other nations more likely to be targeted using agents trained within the PUB itself.

The government has commited itself to increasing the security measures that prevent illegal merchandise and materials trickling into the country, as well as implementing more security in important communications hubs such as ports and airports. Railway stations on the continent will receive upgraded protection as well, too a slightly lesser degree.

Siberia's diary

The Siberian government is debating if we should give aid to the USSR (well, some of the outcast political, anyway). Meanwhile, we have learned of suitcase nukes going off in Korea, which has scared us -not so much to the core-but has scared us enough that we know that we could be next. We also heard of the Chinese rebellions, but our reaction of the outcome is not pleasant. If the rebels would have won, we could have sent them supplies and funds to overthrow the ax-crazy government, but alas, they fell by the mighty Chinese sword.

We then learned about the suitcase nukes going off in Moscow. While we are still embargoing Russia (for another 2 turns), we send out sympathies to the families to those whom were lost in the blast. The next item on the government's agenda was to see how much money that we should spend on troops and tech. The politicians agreed that we should spend .5% of our money on troops, 10% on tech. We also agreed to spend 25% to nations that are in need (even Russia. Oh, btw, We cancel our embargo on Russia funny how even within a diary can opinions change so quickly). We also agreed to spend the rest of the money on infrastructure (OOC: I don't know what the helps with since I didn't read that part of the rules :p)

Have a nice turn everybody!!!

Mongola would like to announce that any military action against the USSR will result in your nation being vaporized.

Have a good day!
