The National Railway Project - an update

This is how the rail system is coming along. The Trans-Fanatikan Railway is complete, and many of our secondary lines are in place.
The only cities that remain unconnected are:

Primary Rail System: Complete

Secondary Rail System: Incomplete

Novgorod
Ise

"4th Level" Rail System: Incomplete

There is a 4th level that I propose: Connect the remaining tiles

Connecting rails 1-2 tiles away from an AI city. These include rails in these locations (barring cultural expansion):

Karachi - 2 tile SW of the city (towards Tonawanda)
Larsa - 1 tile S of the ivory (towards Krasnoyarsk)
Larsa - Rails up to the horses (towards Nagoya)
Jaipur - 1 tile W and/or NW of the city (towards Krasnoyarsk)
Nagasaki - 1 tile SE, and 1 S of the forest (towards St. Regis)
Nagasaki - the area to the SW (towards Uruk)
Kagoshima - 1 N then 1 NW (towards Rostov)
Nara - A rail can be built towards Rostov
Tokyo - Rails to the SW (on the mined grassland) (towards Osaka)
Kyoto - Rails 2 W of the city
The Burrow - 1 N (near Miami)
Padmativa - 1 S of that iron in American lands (near Houston)
Leningrado - 1 N and/or NE (near Cincinatti)
Hyderabad - Rail connecting 1 north of Indus
Dehli - 1 and 2 tiles E (towards Punjab)
Dehli - SE (towards Madras)
Dehli - 1 W then 1 S (towards Tyendenaga
Bangalore - 1 and 2 SW (towards Oka - that city has an extra source of coal!)

Afterwards, we can start railing mined tiles and irragation. This and the above step can be swapped depending on who we're going to go to war with next. (I say the Iroquois, so we can get those lands by our FP).

I agree that the rail program should be extended towards target states. It will make panzer launching even more effective.

IIRC, Jedina isn't even connected to the road system. Than again, maybe I'm looking at an old map...

Also, I'd like to make connecting Morgana a priority. Of the unconnected cities, it is one of the higher production sites. I think our artic cities can wait a bit...

I wish to see the Railroad to be extended to out "Target" states. It would be a perfict route for our Panzer Divisions ( For Grandmaster - and the Dora Railroad Gun )

I agree, that the railroad should be extended to target states for military and domestic purposes. Morgana should definitely be connected for the reasons Octavian listed above. Also, our southern cities should have priority over our northern cities.

In my own games I tend to build railroads right to foreign capitals (sometimes with MPPs, sometimes without :shifteyes: ). Does make for much quicker wars.
