What do you think the next world war will be fought over?

Religion? Land? Resources? Regional power struggle? Or there won't be another world war?

I'm thinking resources, anything from water to oil.

Its happening right now and its islam vs. the rest of the world. Or atleast the rest of the world that is willing to fight back.

I think some evil people will attack some good people, then the good people will strike back and kill alot of the evil people, but not before many good people have been killed.

And vica versa.

It will be fought because war will become routine.

i reckon, if its going to happen at all, Taiwan. However the US might chicken out and just let China have it.

of course, we are already in the largest and most deadly world war ever fought, with several thousand casualties after a meer six years. feeeeaaaaarrrr.

More like "police action" by the enlighten tyranny of USA!

That's pretty sweeping and stereotypical. Let me make this clear: ALMOST ALL MUSLIMS ARE NOT EXTREMISTS. One of my friends is Muslim, and let me tell you: HE IS NOT A RAVING PSYCHOTIC EXTREMIST.

Anyways, I reckon the next world war will be over basic food, water and habitable land after the effects of global warming.

How is America at war with the Islamic world? We are strong allies of both Turkey and Saudi Arabia, and have only invaded Afghanistan and Iraq. If we invaded an unstable latin American country, would you say that we were at war with Catholicism?

Strong allies of Saudi Arabia. Now that's a good one.

Not all wars are world wars. Just because a war breaks out does not mean that it will envelope the world.

I get the impression that people do not appreciate the scale of war especially not World Wars. There are few people around from when wars were REALLY terrible. Perhaps it is a good thing that people look at the Iraq War and say war is bad since it reduces the possibility of a real war of occurring.

It is too early for it to be fought over water, and I am not sure if water will resort in a full-scale world war, but rather a local one. I am betting on resources or just plain aggression like Hitler.
