The Pacts of NES's

I think a record of all alliances should be kept. Also there should be a rule that no AIM conversations go onto the forums, as fabrications of such like which I am suffering from damage you. However if you make a secret alliance or do not announce it then thats your problem if they dont back you up.

Nope!

are u buggin?!?!? This is totally stupid! There shouldn't NO RULE. Unless its a civfanatics rule. AIM is a POWERFUL tool in NES Diplomacy! Whats wrong with bringing conersations from AIM? If you are talking about a certain NES then use your diplomacy skills! If you have none then tellb him or her that you dont want to talk if you think you are going to be blackmailed or something. I use AIM chats as a powerful tool and there should be no rule against it. Just watch what you say when we are talking about a certain situation in a NES. ;)

People also are tending to forget it is not a NEG pr Never Ending Game it is a NES a Never Ending Story

I know that, though part of building a nation (especcially as the age progresses past the Medieval Age) it has to be realistic. There was sooo much blackmailing, dead wrong diplomacy, broken treaties assasinations and all the stuff. I think people should stick to thier side of the deals but if they think its right for thier nation to strategically brake a deal or agreement then let it be so! They will just have to pay the concquences if there is any! This is a Never Ending Story and not a Never Ending Game, though to write stories it has to be realistic and TRUE. Braking treaties and assasinated and clever diplomacy is all part of building an empire the way great leaders have done before, but soon to thier coming they met thier fall (Stalin, Napoleon Otto von Bismark, Hitler...).

Its just the way the world goes round... :)

on a slightly wonky axis?

sheep, as far as the NES vs NEG thing goes. i've always though that this forum should be renamed and moved to inside "other games" instead of "stories".

i just hope that if that happens, the number of the forum (69) doesnt change, cause i have grown very accustomed to it, and would always go to the wrong forum if the number were changed.

Well usualy the breaking of treaties means war. Though i do think that maybe mods should do somit for eg trade embargos for so many turns

no, mods should make revolts becuase maybe a percentage of citizens liked the good status of peace with other nations before the president killed it. Now the citizens should have fear sinse they think they may be attacked because of thier leader's foolish decisions. You never know, they might not be able to work becuase of it and if the nation is struggling to increase its economy it might not work. ;) If the players dont make a concequence than its up to the mod to do so, though on certain boundries (becuase the people *might* have total faith in thier leader or are more scared of thier leader to do anything).

I do not believe it is up to the mod to interfere on a matter such as breaking treaties. That is up to the players. Though he may make an NPC react, if it is logical.

Hey I think this is my first qoute in one of these types of discussions.

I think that what ever happens happens, there should be no rules regarding breaking treaties. Dont trust them if you dont want to, but a rule shouldnt prevent this. PS AIM is the most powerful tool in diplomacy, at least in my mind
