About using an animated .gif, the thing is I'd prefer to use lovely PNG compression. And there's quite a few maps now, so as one GIF it would probably be several megabytes, which causes problems with my slow connection and already-over-crowded upload folder Also, I have been writing some brief stuffs to go in-between the maps, as a kind of descriptive timeline thing.

To answer other questions about the big empires, here's all the maps ive done. As usual I probably made too many and wasted too much time on this At least it was quite fun (and fairly easy once I got the format), and helped me to get my head around everything again.

Distant history based on old legends. Sea levels are slightly higher because I decided there was a 'desert age' ending instead of an ice age.

FYI, ive edited the first page of this thread with funkytronic new layout, if you would like a look. Barring any major objections, I will probably post the new thread tommorrow.

Also, would people prefer individual 'spoiler' button things for each nation in the stats, or just one spoiler for the whole region? In any case, I'd like to avoid a big scary page of stats, its going to be big enough already
