Thank you :)

What about this one? In my view it is the best of the three textures.

Hmmm. That's a tough call. They all look very good in their own respects. I lean a little more toward favoring the darker brown, however. I like the contrast between the roofs and the walls.

Yet more changes...

I think i will decide if this is worth salvaging in a few days.

I hope they end up passing your high standards. It would be a tragedy IMO to shelve such excellent work. :(

EDIT: Many of us (myself included) would be delighted just to be able to make the same high quality cities found in your reject pile.

Kyriakos... All Looking Good.

How about this one with a 20% darker Roof concerning the Lighter Colors Only?
The Image shows the Parts of the Roof that were made 20% Darker below then pasted over the Top Image.

Even if they end up not appearing as a set, i can turn some of the pieces into resources ;)

I for one woud love to see your buildings turned into templates for others to create cities out fo them as well--basically render each building separately with shadows and put the collection on a pink or lime background. That would be very cool to play around with.

I might change the texture of the roofs again, and keep the mongolian temple in size 1. I like the small buildings, but not the monuments...

Golden roof looks ok Vuldacon, the problem is that the roof colour of the original temple was green, but the regular tibetan buildings had grey roofs.

What do you think of this? Changed some things.
For some reason i still generally detest the central building, although it is not an awful model of the real one.

Thanks :)

Changing the texture is the easy part, i already found a red that is closer to the pic.
However i decided to make a new centerpiece, modelled after some tibetan temple with a more characteristic and detailed roof. If it looks ok the set can be saved...

I also might try making a smaller-scale mod, about the ressurection of the Byzantine Empire, after 1204. I have the map and cities, and can place units and towns. Just a possibility atm :)

On something unrelated, i found this farmhouse [it is from civ4 i think (?) ], which can serve as the concept art for a barbarian camp :)

Yah!

There is a graphic that already exists that looks very similar too that farm house I think. I'll try and find it later. I think Pounder made it from an existing building in one of the Conquest Scenarios or something. Still I'd love to see you make this Kyriakos. It's a cool pic you posted.

Love the Tibetan set by the way.
