The Pyramids... Wow!

i just played a new game, i've gotten 5 great engineer before currency(or about the same time frame), wether from pyramid, i dont know, but i've managed to build every wonders in the world except great library thx to the engineers.
also 3 great prophet,

i play qin shi huang, ind/fin.

i may not get that many wonders with phi, but i'll definatly get more GP with phi.

Industrious gives you double production towards wonders. That might explain part of your success at getting wonders.

Yup... see... it can be done... the thing is this... if you are focusing on wonders and great people, you really don't research currency right away which many people maybe assuming you would do. Now could I have researched it earlier and therefore been incorrect about reaching 10 gp before reaching it, yes. But when focusing on wonders and gpp I research things like machinery first to get engineering for the Hagia Sophia. Also, by that time I was running pacifism, then I built the Taj Majal which triggers a golden age. It's indeed very possible to do before currency because like we said earlier, you don't need to research currency early, or right away for that matter... Good civing... and yes, China is great to do this with, in fact, industrious and financial just might be the most powerful...

well the thing is, when i play phi trait, i focus on GP, when i play ind, i focus on wonders.

Pyramids to Hanging Gardens is good strategy.
(especially if having Stone)

That way you get grat accumulation of Great Engineer points.
From there you could get Great Library, then National Epic, etc...
