Possibly, though my ears feel dry and I haven't had this after a shower/bath either. And how would that lower the notes? (Have no idea how an ear works)

Could be the change in pressure. Hold your nose and try to blow into it to equalize your ears. It's kinda like the elevation change on an airplane, with water having a much steeper gradient.

How does one go about cultivating a relationship with their professor? For letter of recommendation I mean, and possible internships. I mean classes are so big, and the class seemed like it ended in a really short time too. I'm a freshman undergrad so it seems challenging. Any suggestions?

I'm not in college yet so it may be different but teachers like it when you laugh at their jokes. Even if they're not funny, when you laugh you get major major points. I could probably turn in this post and get an A in my english class because the teacher likes me so much. Mainly due to me being the only one who laughs at her horrible jokes. Sit in front if you have to.

Turning stuff in on time doesn't hurt either. And neither did a super high grade

That doesn't help.

Anyway I sit in the front of the class and I usually have the highest grade and such but there's really nothing to approach the professor about.

Speak constructively (and ask pertinant questions) in class by reading ahead of the schedule. This proves cognative ability and preparation discipline, while showing a recognition of the importance of class interaction in the learning process.

If you failed to do this, I wouldn't be very impressed - because some students do it. If you have done this, then you're in.

Do we have an occupation thread? I'm interested in what people do for a living
There probably was at some point. I don't remember any recently though. Some are just common knowledge though, like JerichoHill is an economist, Perfection makes small medical devices, and so on.

Not being racist is one, Silver. Not persecuting Jews and taking part in Neo Nazi rallies is another.

You're going to have better luck with this in smaller classes...but if that isn't an option, here is what you need to do.

1) GO TO CLASS. Even better participate in class.
2) Do Quality Work
3) Use office hours. Nobody visits profs in office hours, but they have to have them. They get lonely. I'm not making this up.
4) Use email.

Even if I don't need help with anything? Should I just pretend to require help with something?

Think: homoerotic. I'm sure something will come to you.

Whatever that is, I'm not going to bother looking up on google.

Silver, be careful. There are some teachers that hate when you go into their offices. Once I publicly humiliated my science teacher (ok, maybe not once, everyday perhaps) and nowadays, whenever I go into his office to bug him about my labs, he throws a pen at me. :woohoo:

@Silver:

You're a chick? That would explain a few things. (I don't mean that as an insult or jab)

Silver is not a chick, but he has memories of when he was a little girl.
