Is France a socialist country? What are examples of socialist countries in the Western world, if any?

two questions...

if I wanted to do a home-study program, where I take college courses at home for High school credit, or whatever its call, how would I go about establishing that?

There are two ways to do it. One is to talk to your school's guidance department about what PSEO's (Post Secondary Educational Opportunities) are available in your area. Typically, they will have a program that allows students to take classes with a local Community/Junior college for free, if you meet certain requirements. They *might* have an online version for that. These options are not always very flexible, but they almost completely free.

Failing that, you can contact local universities directly and ask...but remember that 1) you might not have any local schools that will accept you, 2) it will cost money and 3) if you don't attend that school after you graduate, the credits might not transfer.

Ok, got a pretty specific one here:

Why is it, that after I go swimming any music I hear sounds off-tune?

I'm sure btw that the music coming from my ear to my brain is lower than it should be due to me hearing absolutely.

Water in your ear?

Could it be you have gotten used to the sound of water?

Sound waves are faster in water, so maybe you got accustomed to it, and then when you surface, the slower-traveling sound waves seem to be of lower pitch.

Well that sounds like a good explanation - I'll test how long it takes my ear to recalibrate. Sofar it's about 1 hour and still everything out of tune...

Probably as long as you went swimming. :)

Anyone know where to watch episodes of the documentary Eyewitness in full (and for free)?

Not exactly what I was looking for.
