One Game i tried playing Hyborem and got CTD really often... In "normal" Games i have no Problems, not a single CTD

As for OSS. Im Playing with a Friend, Huge Map, Hell Terain Disabled and we are far in den Lategame and we didnt encounter even a single OOS. Smoth playing all the time...
Both of us have Vista.

Laptop:

No crashes

Desktop:

DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
No Crashes

On a lark can someone getting the hell terrain CtD try this test patch:

Test Patch: Patch "d test"

Here is a better fix that hpefully keeps the burning sands ability while avoiding the crashes:

Test Patch 10: Patch "d test10" (never expire burning sands)

I'm running Vista, DirectX 10 and 0.31d.

When I reach a certain point in the game I get consistent CTDs. I basically get stuck on a turn and can't continue the game anymore because I get CTDs everytime I try to end the turn.

Is this happening after Infernal Pact + hyborem. if so you should be able to continue your saves with kael's patch 10.

Also, it might not work well with some old saves, I got one with an old save and Kael is getting a crash with that and he's checking it out.

I'm just giving a little warning since it does fix the issue with new games, but it might break old saves.

I had a hard time picking either "seldom" or "very frequently." I chose "seldom" because the CTDs doen't happen that often, but usually when it starts happening to a certain gam it keeps happening, making the game unplayable. I have vista.

Hey! Thank you for that patch! I had a save game that would crash every single time I ended turn even though I had never seen any burning anything, but I guess someone else must have been doing it, because it works now! I'm having so much fun!

(Also, I'm running Vista.)

:bump:

Please! We need more people to vote on this. If you have any experience with CTD's (Crash to Desktop) or OOS's (Out of Sync - Multiplayer only) please drop by and vote. The results will simply be more likely more valid.

"Thank You for voting!"

;) :p

Win XP, dx 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
No crashes to desktop
quite alot OOS-issues in multiplayer - sometimes reconnecting helps (just 2-5 more OOS' until finishing), most of the time it just gets worse (OOS every 1-3 turns in the mid-late game, thus we normally give up)

Removing hell terrain from the game (or preventing Hyborem entering the game) helps with OOS, but still a few remain each game.

DX 9.0c Windows XP. Saving and QUICKLY exiting/loading makes my computer reset instead.

My specs:
Vista Enterprise
Intel Core Duo 3,16Ghz with 4GB Ram
8800GT with 512MB DDR3
DirectX 10
FFH2 version 31e

With the prior version (d) I had the same issue . . . Basically the game runs fine, but at some point in late game I have a CtD (between turn 450 to 525) . . . Since I play on Huge maps, usually Terran (supposedly making them even larger), I figure it's a performance issue, though since I only just bought my PC I would've thought it could handle it . . .
I've recently started a game on a large map, hoping this will help - I figure there's no need to install DirectX 9.0c as well, after the new e patch for FH2 has come out . . .

EDIT: Since the large map didn't seem to pose a problem (albeit I never actually finished that game), I opted to try out another Huge one with all factions involved . . . Have yet to see how that'll turn out . . .

I rarely get CTD, though I did get one today in the very late game when reloading.

Only option I chose was Wildlands but Hyborem hadn't entered game.
