EULOGY FOR KING CANUTE

Oh grandest of all; King Canute
You are less akin to a newt
Than the other snooze-inducing leaders
Who are all predictable winners

You are an underdog, forgotten by many
You weren't in a Civ game; you are sent to History's subterany
Yet you were King of Norway, England and Denmark
You should have more than just a statue in a park

One day you humbly declared "I'm but a human"
As proof you tried to stop the tide with nothing but your hand
And when your subjects observed your failure
They respected you and... um... your chevelure (?!)

Today your greatness is thwarted
By a bunch of overly discussed fartheads
Supported by boorish hooligans
Who deseve nothing but death by toboggans

Farewell Canute! Farewell!

SCREW YOU-LOGY FOR KING CANUTE

King Canute
You were never in Civ
What the heck you doin' in this game anyways
I can't believe how much you suck
Screw you Canute

(It's freeform poetry)

WHAT? He was in either Civ 2 or 3 wasn´t he??:confused:

Oh, Joan of Arc
Hot as fire
Full of desire
Bravest of women
a martyr of souls
Hero of the Hundred Year War
Kick Charlemagne in the royal butt and win this game!

:king:

I think it was Ragnar Lodbrok in Civ III. Can't remember Civ II. Gunnhild was the female leader, that's all I can remember. If he was in Civ II, change that to 'You were never in Civ apart from Civ II but you got overshadowed by Gunnhild'. :viking:

I'm pretty sure Canute was never in a Civ game. Unless there was some obscure expansion I didn't have. It's really a shame considering!

Anyway, your poem is indeed boorish hooliganism, mehe.

Oh and... Vive la France.
