I think it was Ragnar Lodbrok in Civ III. Can't remember Civ II. Gunnhild was the female leader, that's all I can remember. If he was in Civ II, change that to 'You were never in Civ apart from Civ II but you got overshadowed by Gunnhild'.

I'm pretty sure Canute was never in a Civ game. Unless there was some obscure expansion I didn't have. It's really a shame considering!
