The Rohirrim

I'm not having any luck with the Rohirim spearman... here's my XML... have I done something wrong?

There is a problem with your .kfm for the swordsman.
When you select the unit its graphic does not show up in the bottom left, nor do its promotions, even when having promotion points to spend.
I have come across this before, and am convinced it is the .kfm at fault.

Yes i think that it's to do with the having the nif in with the kfm folder (with the exact same name)... have you deleted any files or anything from the folders? If not I'll look into it..

@ wolf - I can't see anything wrong as long as your folder structure is the same as the xml you posted, what problems are you having in game?

Okay I've checked it out and there is indeed a problem with some of the animations (not just the swordsmans) it was to do with a shortcut I was using that I thought would help save some space, but it just makes the animations buggy. The good news is that I know how to fix it :)

Will upload a new version in 20 minutes or so.

Ok all fixed now.. thanks for the spot Doomed_UK. Was your problem related to this Wolfshanze?

To the 35 people who already downloaded it while it was buggy, hopefully the promise of dwarves will allow you to forgive me :D

The promise of dwarves allows to forgive almost everything :D
And they look cute :D

There is no 'normal size' unit in the screenshot to compare, so i am not sure - but i think they could look better if you make them a bit 'wider' - maybe 15-20% this will emphasize them being short while at the same time making them look more sturdy (because of wider shoulders etc).

They already look pretty cool though.

I've already made them a lot wider and you can sorta tell of their short stature by looking at where they come up to against the flag poles. I'll see if I can do anything else though, and I'll get another screeny up hopefully.

EDIT : I know the first dwarf in the screenshot needs his head slightly bigger and moved a little, and his axe needs gloss. I think the second one is fairly good for now though.

Chug, I'll try downloading again...

P.S.
I still don't see what's so big about dwarves.

Ok I made the middle dwarf a little fatter :) and some other tweaks. The dwarf on the right is unaltered from the previous screenshot. The Rohan guy is there for size comparison, I think the dwarves could be a little smaller overall but what do you guys think?

What was wrong before, was it the animations or something else?
What was wrong before? Well, with the above XML lines (which appeared to be correct), all I was getting in the Civilopedia was a blank screen (not even a red-blob).

I've seen that before... usually it means some sort of problem with a KFM file (either you're pointing at the wrong KFM, using the wrong KFM, or a corrupted KFM).

I've been working on my own mod... I've lost track of how many units I've replaced via XML changes, but I check each and every unit I put into my mod... I can usually fix them myself when I have a V8 moment (ooops... I should've done this or that)... but with this particular case, I couldn't come up with a solution, as it seems I downloaded everything correct and did the proper XML commands.

I haven't downloaded the update yet, but I will shortly.

Ah yes this was the problem that I just fixed :) They appear to work correctly ingame but the civlopedia is screwed up and other minor stuff. But I worked out how to fix all that so it should be good to go now. Just overwrite all the animation folders, or the whole unit folders :)

Yes, I think just a tad bit shorter and it will be good. The width of the shoulders on the dwarf on the left looks good.
Overall...looking great :goodjob:

Don't forget to put a handle on the back of the dwarf for tossing purposes.

I have no problems, I like this units very much, they much better than my garbage. Agree?
