I don't understand how the Torch is conencted to the council being prison or fortress...

Yeah – maybe that’s too subtle.
It’s connected to the lighthouse, because now that we don’t have it, we’re trapped (prison like) on our continent. But for everyone else, mainly Babe, we want them to think of us a Fortress… not a prison.

I'd really like to do a story on us entering the Middle Ages. Mostly as a warning to BABE.

I'm thinking the secondary story can be about training MDI, and the fluffy story about our Palace expansion… leaving the real-estate story for edition 3.

Now – I plan to start working on this – but I wanted to post here for feedback right away, because I'd be revealing that we're in the MA, and letting people believe that we got Feudalism (for MedInfs) as our free tech.

I think it's only good that we let this information out. There's really not much point in hiding it that I can see… and it may help steer BABE's talks of where to invade away from us to easier targets.
We won't be revealing anything about FREE (though everyone will know/assume that we must have had an ally).

If you're still opposed to revealing this info, please post here!

Announcing advancement to the industrial age would be a good gag, 'Council discover secrets of steam power, the age of the railway has begun!'

GONG can see our leaderhead in the F7 wonder screen, will this have changed to our middle age leaderhead as they see it?

That would be hilarious!

But I think we should save it for a bit later.
The joke will be especially good after we surprise some people with how quick we got to the MA… then we might actually convince a few people that we got to the IA when we're really just getting to Chemistry or Astronomy.

And good point on the Leaderhead… I'm not sure how that works either, but hopefully the admins won't have a problem either way.

I whole-heartedly agree that this would be a good thing. The story about training MInfs in particular, adding to the ranks of our venerable ACs. It would also be nice to time this together with a mass upgrade of Warriors to MInfs, so that the other teams can see our military power rating increase.

I don't see anything wrong with the fact that your team wants to reveal harmless information about itself. It's information that won't affect other teams and is something that all teams (even GONG, via one of the others) could find out.

If you could wait for RM to respond in a few hours or so, that would be best, but as of now I would approve this.

So I think we can go ahead.
I really think this is a win-win for us... playing up our tech/military advantage to help forestall an attack.

How about a side story about a miner working hard in our iron mines to unearth Iron for our weapons? I'd let it sound like a Eastern Germany's "Folk Heros of the worker's and farmer's state"... some propaganda material like it was used in the 1930 to 1950s...

However I guess this might also encourage them to attack even earlier if they don't want to cancel attacking us at all...

I agree with this idea. We want to use our tech advantage and say it aloud openly.

Then again, even though we won't name FREE, saber might figure things out and use our message as a confirmation that we are allied with Free, and might even spread the info... we should think carefully before posting it.

But in my opinion General can already start creating a newspaper like this and we can always edit some too vulnerable information out before posting it.

Oh and I also just realize the newspaper is clipped off at the bottom. The text there doesn't contain any valuable information but still it looks a bit nasty...
