You might ask them to review that thread in the UN, and see if they might want to say something about BABE calling us cheaters. Doesn't seem very sportsman like. I'm personally pretty tired of it.

If their only evidence is that we'd rather attack with a redlined unit than wait for him to be destroyed, then they should keep their mouths shut.

After all, two can play the "you're a cheater" game… as you're suggesting here Cubsfan.

But team BABE has taken to not-so-subtly calling us cheaters.

After a few attempts to be light-hearted while still answering the veiled accusation in Wotan's post, it became clear they just want to smear us.

I'm actually a bit upset about it, as they have no evidence beyond a lucky RNG outcome on a single battle. (and they are, of course, ignoring the battles we lost that were strategically far more important)

Anyway, it all adds up to spoiling the fun for a lot of us, and (just personally) I'd appreciate some calming words from an authority figure asking people to back-off from calling each other cheaters… especially without evidence.

Thanks again for your work on this – sorry to come complaining.

I think Chamnix came to our defense nicely. Too bad he doesn't have a few sipahi's we could borrow for a while. Heck, I'd even take a couple that were redlined.

I don't think we should get too steamed about those remarks. I had the same thoughts about the nutters in the last game when they won a few unlikely victories. I actually think it's good that BABE is upset - it probably means they don't have the power to hurt us much and are realizing it.

I’ve tried to stay out of it, but I’m afraid I’ve lost my cool now. But I won’t edit my comments.
I’m so sick and tired of BABE accusing people of cheating or abusing the game every time something doesn’t go their way.

Pah - I'm pretty sure our upset statements about being called cheaters will pale in comparison to the internal BABE threads calling us cheaters.

I'm glad I've stayed out of the discussion so far. Like Wotan said we did some talking last night. I sent him a rather lengthy PM (actually spilled over into two PMs) telling him exactly how foolish they were, explaining exactly my reasoning for the attacks (without telling too much) and asking for an apology. And I got one, so I feel much better now. I guess it's too much to ask for a public apology by other people in BABE, but getting one from Wotan is good enough for me.

So, let's all just drop it and play on. If they won't drop it, let them steam on and call in the hex team or whatever. Like donsig said, let's hope they do it because they know they lost because of it. Let them spend their energy on the insignificant while we concentrate on defense.

Just as they thought SABER would open their coast and invite them to conquer their land?

They can't be surprised we have a force of 20 units, can they? They should know we got 6 ACs and should easily guess we could build some cheap horses. They should have even expected to get erased completely - we could well have had 30 horses. And some of them veteran. They are lucky to have quite a force left and a good chance to take our SC island.

Good thing is I'm not too familiar with flaming in english language as Niklas so I don't understand half of those subtle accusations...

It's really kind of funny - people forget that odds are odds. 99% to win means that if every person in Seoul (pop 10million) were to have a go, there'd be 100,000 losers

27% odds is really not bad when looked at that way - one out of four tries will, on average, result in success. People keep mentioning a 'lucky' roll of the RNG - but it's not luck at all.

In this incident there was one thing and one thing only that triggered the chain of events and that was the 1/5 attacking as the 13th unit in a series of attacks. one of two attacks that would let him kill his adversary and survive.

How does he know this?

He doesn't, and neither do we. What he meant was that it was one of two units that didn't lose any hit points at all, and he draws a false conclusion from that.
