The RoundTable

That's a great piece of work General

I think you are just misinterpreting some things :mischief:, but still it's a good job

<reposted for ease of reference>

:) Glad to see I've been missed!

Spoiler :
Sadly, I have to report that the offices and printing presses of The Roundtable have been seized voluntarily turned over to the Ministry of Wartime Budgeting. I think they're using my presses to print money to fund all the new war spending :shifty:

- I've tried to warn them about the dangers of abandoning the gold standard for this new fiat currency and predicted that it'll lead to eventual financial turmoil… but apparently talking about the intrinsic value of specie currency and the importance of rule-based regimes to stabilize business expectations – is really not very popular when there's a war on. :mischief:

Anyway – I, and all my former RoundTable staff, have been "recruited" to work in the new Ministry of Wartime Information.

Maybe you news-hungry folks would like a peek at the work we've been busy with recently?

Here you go…

I wish I could play with pictures like that, but all I got for Christmas was a lousy word processor.

 I'll take that as a compliment.

But if you really want to play with pretty pictures, CommandoBob - I'll give you my secret... I do all my graphics work with paint.net

It's a totally simple program, I taught myself to use it without any art skills to speak of. If I could learn it, I'm totally sure you could also. I mean, I'm an MBA... which means you have to use very small words when explaining things to me. ;)

Hopefully, this will be one of the last editions of your silly propaganda

Nice work

Did I ever mention I can't see YouTube?

Really? Wow - I'm sorry Marsden.
Time for a trip to the library... or do they not have those in Thulcandra? :mischief:

Ah, libraries! Silent Places on the Silent Planet.

Mr. Lewis would be very sad, methinks, if there were no books at least. :D

Thanks for the download link Yilar!
I'll have to put you on the Round Table staff ;)

Great stuff GW. I guess I'll have to assume this is fact since I haven't heard anything to the contrary. :D

Thanks everyone, I did manage to see it now. It took 25 minutes to watch those 2 1/2 but I got r done.

We feel that the current pace of the game, due to different reasons, has room to improve. Not all of the problems can be eliminated easily of course, but there is one quick fix Saber would like the other teams to consider. Can either FREE or The Council take over the click and save action for team BABE for which both are carrying out "life-support measures" anyway. ;)

We of The Council could certainly think of easier ways to speed the game up, say, SABER removes all ships from outside their own territorial waters? That would at least make us play a lot faster. :ack:

Nice try ;) I saw that one coming...

This was one of the arguments against attacking you guys :D, but we all now the result of that discussion...:mischief:

If only that were true... a quick check of the turn tracker thread for say the 10 turns immediately preceding the war makes that a little hard to believe. We figured this is the only long-term solution to keep the game moving ;).

 Busted! eh, I mean, no, I mean, you had lots of ships outside your own territorial waters then too, and we saw this war coming from miles away (oh yes we did! no, really!!) and had to discuss long how to set up the defense so that no Council lives would be lost. I mean, we already knew we would win, but every (Council) life counts, and... yeah, well, you'll see shortly. :D

Spoiler :
Is this thing off now? So, honored Chairman of Propa... right sorry, Wartime Information, where do I go to collect that bonus? :shifty:

We're trying to stretch this out so we can celebrate the game's two year anniversary. Big [party] planned. Didn't you guys get your invitations?
