I'm always logged on (in invisible mode), I get the same problems.

I even have problems in the wee hours (Central Time, USA), when it is morning in Europe and the only peak evening hours are in Asia, where not a lot of our members come from (well, there's also Australia).

Methinks that the server isn't actually "too busy" (i.e. the phenomenon seems to have no correlation with actual traffic density), but it's some other problem that Telefragged likes to gloss over in the passive voice ("there seems to have been a slight problem with the data base"--come on, be a man, say "WE HAVE A PROBLEM!").

Seems I eventually get through after about 10 refreshes, it's like redialing a busy number during a radio phone contest. And I'm afraid Telefragged isn't telling us everything....

It all seriousness though, something needs to happen soon, it is becoming far too much of a pain to participate in the Civ3 Demo Game when it routinely takes 10 attempts to post a single message.

The server has been way too busy for way too long. I've been on these forums for well over a year now (thanky you TF!) and there never was a problem like this before. Unfortunately this problem happens way too often now.

The Telefragged admin responsible for server upgrades said he will add more RAM (hopefully 1 GB) to the forum server this Saturday for sure.

I agree with donsig, I've never seen it this bad. I could swear there were ALOT more people on the site this time last year.

I hope the added gerbils (RAM) fixes it up.
