The Song of the Moon

i can do that. i just submitted my last files for the 'other' mod im working on. lemme get to downloading what was just submitted, and see what is there.

i will need any songs you want sent to my email address in a zip file.

When starting a "moon map" there is a error and i cant use the mod. I have version 0.23A is it compatible with civ version 1.52? If not can i get a link to one that is compatible?

well, i was thinking that we should have the same music for all the era's, this will save download space (it will be huge)

we should have one music per civ, and then a soundtrack for all era's together. you just cut and paste in the music xml.

v0.23A is 1.61 compatible. Follow the link in my sig to find the ALpha versions Garret speaks about.

Hey!

I tried to get started, but it didn't load the moonmap, I placed into PublicMaps. It sayd "moonmap.py" could not be found.
I've tried to find my error in your FAQ, but didnt get a result.
As you advised, I put it into "PublicMaps". After that didnt work I copied it into "_Civ4CustomMaps", too, but that didn't change anything.
Have I understand something wrong? This mod is for Vanilla CIV4 isn't it?

It is for Vanilla and when moonmap.py is placed in the Public Maps folder everything should work fine.

When you start a game and go to map types the Moon Map should be an option. Did you reload the mod after moving the map file? I'd say try again because everything you did sounds right.

On the other hand, matthewv has completed his mapscript updates where upon loading the game the moon map is automatically selected. Once we incorporate some other changes we'll be uploading this version.

Thanks for the swift reply.

Just tried it again, and yes, when choosing a custom singleplayer game, Moonmap is an option, but when starting up, a popup appers, telling that it can't find the map-script "moon_map.py" and that the game is going to generate an empty map. The result is exactly this. A flat map, with parallel rivers in regular patterns without the moon textures.
I've played an earlier version some time ago and it worked. I really don't know why it doesn't work this time...

Not that this should matter, but do you have the English or German copy? I can't think of anything else off hand.

Civ4 is multilingual. The Language you choose before installation is the language the game is installed with. I've installed it in english, because I really dislike the often bad german translations.
