It happened to me, too

I'm trying YouSendIt right now, but with dial-up it'll take a while even for three megs. :( At least then we'll have two choices.

Sorry Drakonik, Jupiter's a Gas planet. You can't build cities on air!:(

Au contraire. It is believed that on the very core of Jupiter, there is a giant earth-sized diamond, forged from carbon that has sifted down over the ages. Think about it. Above, numerous gases, all of which can be put to use somehow, and below, the hardest substance known to man.

A veritable gold-mine of valuble substances. Now, if we could only get over the gravity which is around 6000 times stronger than our own, if not more.

Edit: Also, haven't you seen Star Wars? Cloud City, Lando Calrissan ringing any bells?

For a human to exsist on jupiter he/she'd have to make a tremendous amount of adaptations. First of all, is obviously, the atmosphere. Also to consider are:

Violent Superhurricanes, lack of water, gravity constantly pulling in meteors, very short days, possibly no ozone, questionable temperatures, thick gas clouds blocking out the sun... and of corse being that dimond is (almost) indestructasble, it would be completely impossible to grow plants on this "diamond"- you can still do a mod if you want, I'm just telling you so you know. :)

Hey, I never said it'd be easy, did I? ;)

And you have the Moon_Map.py in the Public Maps folder? And you select Moon Map when you start a game? Odd.

I downloaded the files from the first post, and the 'patch' released March 2--this is the first time I played it, and everything looks alright loading the game.

I'm using the Moon_Map, started the game by entering 'custom game' (and not load game screen -- since I did that automatically the first time I loaded it, I thought that was the reason for the error but it wasn't), I'm patched to 1.52 and haven't touched any of the files in the SOTM mod. I have some options turned off (show friendly moves, wonder movies in the .ini file and so on).

When the game starts, I have the moonscape, my engineer / rover / settler combo on screen and NOTHING else. No clock bar, no world map, no info mouseovers on the left hand corner, no scoring info right hand corner, no unit suggestions, no city screen, no advisers, nothing. It's all units in the middle and nothing around. I didn't know it was possible to have nothing on your screen!

I like having all those helpful screens! I don't memorize the keyboard shortcuts--and even if I know the standard ones (F1, R=build road etc) I don't want to blindly build something because I have no idea what I'm doing on the moon!

I went through the posts on the forums and no one seems to have reported something like this. Am I missing something, or am I just special (aka cursed)?

Please help me, SOTM creators, you're my only hope...

=)

Wow, I'm not sure what hotkey would turn off all of the screen stuff.

Alt-I Removes Interface. Would that be it?

Yeah. That sounds like Alt-I to me. Hitting alt-i again should fix it, unless there's a problem with the Python that generates the interface (it is Python that does that, right?) is malfunctioning, but that's unlikely, because AFAIK the Python has been untouched.

I didn't even add a Python folder in the patch. :)

Does the patch download and work now?

Been playing your game most of the day. im at the year of the moon 205. plays good, takes a while to figure out some things. from reading the posts i just now realized that you cant build bunker and dome both. ive had some cities doing both thinking it was upgrading both. oops. barbarians have been tough. had to pull in all units and then only send out laser tanks to explore. they are tough. entire mod is playable and hasnt crashed or hung up yet. i realize alot of things are works in progress. we appreciate your work.:goodjob:

just downloaded your patch, install it into assets folder? can i continue with the game i started after i add the assets or is it better to start a new game?
:king:

I started a new game following the recommended steps and got the screenless wonder again (see attached screen shot).

I then hit ALT-I and got no response. Still the screenless wonder! How am I supposed to colonize the moon now???

MODS present: Sevomod 2.3 (slightly personalized by me, mostly XML stuff)
Alerum's Unaltered Gameplay in CustomAssets (slightly personalized by me, mostly XML stuff)
Song of the Moon patched to 0.17

Ideas?
