And hopefully Belizan is on his feet again soon, and show us his and Warsong's version. It sounded like a good base to work further on, but of course has to be checked first. ;)

You know, I've been thinking about that lancer unit. How do you feel about putting the unit in the colonization era and letting it have a 100% combat increase on rover units or perhaps the first real combat rover (that pink one, half gun, half cockpit)? At least that way a "pike" unit wouldn't be in the later era's of the mod, and could represent the bit of backslash of the colonies being cut from Earth (cheap makeshift solutions to new problems).
 
We can put it anywhere. I put it with Hypercompression because I had no idea what that tech means and it needed something. :blush:
 
Well, using a pike (even an electromagnetic one) really sounds primitive to me, and so I thought the unit would feel best at home shortly after Isolation. :mischief: (and before missiles/rockets could be massproduced again)

No, it hasn't. Check the previous page. In one of Woodelf's posts there's a link to a still valid dl. It still works (just checked it).
 
Is it intentional that a worker(engineer) just sit there and be captured rather than all of the other mod's "RUN" to base???? Also i had the wealth set at 100% (sometimes 90) and i still was like six tech's behind everyone else? BTW great looking graphics (and a map also, WOW).
 
Okay, I'll update the first post with the latest dl link. It's time I had a look at this myself! :blush:

We had to make a trade off on whether to give them an att or let them be captured like normal. By giving them a pow of 1 they can defend against simple barb units, but they won't run. I never automate so I don't know how stupid they are. :) The AI does seem to hide them in bases when I approach though.

What level are you playing on? I don't know why you'd be falling way behind in tech, but maybe the AI is getting more gold/tile than you are somehow?

Could you be a bit more specific?

The hyperlinks seem to work okay - are you having problems opening the file afterwards? To open *.rar files, you need a copy of WinRAR.exe, which is a free, shareware file compression program that is superior to WinZip. Given the size of the mod, we were compelled to use *.rar files so as to save space - otherwise the download would have been in treble figures. Top quality FAQ JBG, but one nitpick...Warsong hasn't done anything yet on SotM. He and Belizan are talking amongst themselves for another vision, but nothing yet.
