The Special Operations Command: Europe Burning

Minor equipment change: All Combat Specialists receive one Frag Grenade, all Support Specialists receive one Satchel Charge and all Officers receive one Smoke Grenade.

Frag Grenades are good at clearing cover or taking out clusters of enemies. They could be used to rip holes in lighter armored vehicles like cars, but as they are primarily shrapnel-based the explosion would not damage armor significantly.
Satchel Charges are powerful bundles of explosives useful primarily to take out armored vehicles and hardpoints. They would kill infantry close to them but they lack the shrapnel that makes frags effective.
Smoke Grenades are good at covering your movement and obscuring visibility. They have little to no firepower so attempting to use them in an active combat sense is foolhardy, however an alternative to smoking your position is to simply smoke the enemies.

Bio: Ewald van Nieuwland was a captain of the militia on the day the Germans invaded. His unit was quickly sent to Rotterdam to bolster the meagre defences. The fighting, when it came, was raging and murderous. Van Nieuwland had about sixty men with him when they surprised a German company, who quickly surrendered. The Dutchmen were stripping their prisoners, who outnumbered them almost two to one, of their weapons, when another German company attacked. Wheeling to face this new enemy, the Dutch were surprised by their prisoners, who sensed their chance and, though unarmed, quickly overwhelmed their captors. Van Nieuwland barely managed to escape with three men. As the city fell they stole a pair of abandoned but miraculously unharmed Dutch fighters, found fuel, and flew across the channel. One ran out of fuel partway, and van Nieuwland's was forced to crash-land, where only he survives. Now, thoroughly stripped of and shred of consideration for any German or any enemy, he waits to return.

I will allow Omnilingualist if you change German to something else that is also not Italian or Japanese, as those fall under the Familiarity skill. Russian, any of the Scandinavian tongues or Spanish would all be fine, for example. Welcome to the SOC.

Bio:
Waldermar fought during the initial invasions against the Nazi invasion, having distinguished himself during the Battle of Wizna, although he would be forced to surrender to German forces. However, Waldemar would successfully escape the march to a concentration camp, and found his way to the coast, which he found was blockaded - But he had no alternative but to keep moving. Eventually, Waldemar would reach a mostly destroyed airfield. While most of the aircraft were destroyed or heavily damaged, there was one that was not only in good condition, but was still on! There was a minor problem in that Waldemar was only familiar with a few basic mechanics of how to fly a plane, and in reality had no idea how to start one in real life. He managed to get it off the ground, though, and then managed to fly vaguely north for a fairly long time - Until he crashed a few miles from Helsinki, of course. Following this incident, Waldemar would manage to take a passenger ship to the US. There, he would realize that he still wanted to destroy the evil regime that conquered his homeland, and thus traveled to London to engage in this endeavor, where he was recruited by the SOC.
