I'm strongly leaning towards building a settler next out of Baldric. I think having that second city up and running as soon as possible is more important than discovering a couple more tiles a few turns earlier.
I agree with that. A second city is key key key. After all, the benefits of each city in the beginning are HUGE. After about 5 cities, you can afford to wait a little more and a little more...
FWIW, I think our best move now is to move the worker back to the cow to irrigate. We have already lost one turn on growing to size 2, but anything other than worker back to the cow costs us another turn on growth to size 3. But since I don't know what classical_hero was thinking... .
Worker Suggestion: Unless someone points out a mistake in the latest spreadsheet (emailed to our gmail), I believe our worker should road on move 10. Mining doesn't seem to get the settler completed earlier, so we might as well pick up the extra beakers.
Worker Suggestion: I think the worker should go south to road the sugar next. We do not need a mine on the current tile for a little while, and roading the sugar will enable us to settle our second town a turn earlier (assuming we are settling south of Baldric first).
I tend to agree that citizen suggestions should go here also, but for some reason our Constitution puts the domestic minister in charge of citizen placement , so I've been posting there.
Irrigating the sugar won't do any good in despotism.
Worker Suggestion: I think the worker should road the sugar next. Even though it doesn't increase our commerce in despotism, it will enable us to found our second city a turn earlier. Irrigating does nothing in despotism, and we won't need a mine for a little while.
