Chapter 9 - On the High Seas and the Golden Age of Tupac

Tupac Shakur said:
Wars come and go, but my soldiers stay eternal

America was the first to strike in the American-Zulu war with a small fleet of four frigates sailing toward the important Canal City of Ghetto Gospel. However waiting for them was the bulk of Tupac's fleet, having returned from their operations against England. The largest naval battle to date took place six miles off the coast of Ghetto Gospel. Three American frigates were sunk while just one of the ships in Tupac's fleet was sunk. Tupac's fleet then pursued and destroyed the remaining American ships.

England then made the baffling decision to join Tupac against America. No alliance had been signed however and Tupac could not understand how a tiny nation like England, already reduced to a fraction of her original size, planned to fight a fully modernised army like America's... but then Tupac had forgotten that England had a Mutual Protection Pact with China...

Meanwhile the Northern American fleet had been reinforced by ships from the southern oceans and fresh vessles from the shipyards of St. Louis. They attempted to blockade the Zulu fleet at Ghetto Gospel, however Tupac ordered the an attempt to break the blockade with five Zulu Frigates, the ZTS Thug Life, Tutopia, Whalebury, Dear Mama and Take Iron sailing into the teeth of American cannon fire.

The Zulu fleet succesfully broke the American blockade.
Meanwhile Roman technology had continued its rapid advance, her scientists had found a way to harden iron into a powerful alloy called steel. It was the strongest metal to date and Tupac realised its value with its potential application to naval vessels so he ordered another expensive operation in Rome.

Meanwhile the war on land had been well thought out by Tupac. He knew that the American army would not long be able to resist his forces if he could remove their supply of rubber. All American rubber supplies originated from the area around Chicago and so Tupac made its capture his first priority. Twelve infantry divisions coupled with support from 30 Artillery batteries prcoeeded to break through the six division American infantry defence at the city. As the artillery barrage had greatly demoralised and weakened the American forces defending the city, Tupac's soldiers were able to achieve victory with only superficial losses.

Rome had finally completed its study into a new form of research using Scientific method. Tupac was extremely keen on this information and so was willing to offer a significant payment to the Roman nation in order to acquire this information.

Tupac's forces moved southward from the ruins of Chicago toward Boston. Boston had the largest concentration of American Infantry anywhere and victory there would not come easily, or cheaply. Despite the barrage of 42 Artillery Batteries, of the 23 Infantry Divisions committed to combat at the city, on 11 survived. Nonetheless once again the army of Tupac was victorious.

In preparation for a continuation of hostilities at Atlanta, Tupac ordered the construction of a fortified camp several to the north which Atlanta City. The initialy defence of this city was entrusted to a collection of old soldiers, including a distinguished swordsman by the name of Yaki Kadafi. There was not expected to be much, if any threats to Atlanta City while the main body of Tupac's army was on Atlanta's doorstep.

Tupac was wrong, dead wrong.

Of the old soldiers who were tasked with defending the city, 4 of them were killed in a suprise attack by American Longbowmen. Tupac was heartbroken by the loss of some of his oldest and dearest friends. However it was Yaki Kadafi who took it the hardest, and it was Yaki Kadafi who led the counterattack which destroyed the American army. In recognition of his bravery, Tupac declared Yaki Kadafi a national hero.

Kadafi retired from combat but was made army commander of the First Tupacian Infantry Army.

Meanwhile one of Tupac's explorer scientists, by the name of Charles Darwin, completed a historic around the world journey in which he visited all the nations of the world and had documented thoroughly, the flora and fauna of those lands. From this he devised a Theory of Evolution which revolutionised research in Zululand, leading to incredible developments in Atomic Theory and the study of Electronics... how a theory on evolution led to devlopments in those two areas wasnt really sure. In fact it made no sense whatsoever, but he wasnt complaining, it was a massive benefit for him.

This period in history is generally referred to as the Golden Age of Tupac.

In this time the completion of a great work of literature on the valor of Yaki Kadafi was completed in Thug Life. The book was named 'The Heroic Epic' and was to inspire millions of Zulu people for generations to come.

Meanwhile the forstalled invasion of Atlanta finally took place. A powerful force of Infantry divisions led by Kadafi's First Infantry Army succeeded in, with the support of artillery, breaking through the well armed and organised defences of Atlanta to seize the city. Tupac had sent explicit orders to his troops not to harm the great inventor Leonardo Di Vinci. However one of his soldiers came across the great man working in his workshop. After Leonardo had refused to leave his work at the soldier's order, the soldier raised his rifle and fired, putting to end the life of one of the greatest geniuses of history. Tupac was distraught, Leonardo would have been of incredible worth to Zululand and now that could not happen because of the stupid ignorance and impatience of one of his soldiers.

Nice update!

For your next challenge, you shouldn't do any espionage--it seems that the costs for tech steal are far too small for the odds you get of success.

Great update!

Chapter 10 - America Falls

Tupac Shakur said:
Even though I'm marked for death, I'm a spark 'till I lose my breath

Germany, or the Fatherland as its people called it, was home to some of the world's biggest revolutionaries. Karl Marx, who developed Communism whilst in China and Rome, was of German extraction and in more recent years Germany had been where the push for greater voting opportunites had taken place.
Finally in 1375AD, the German parliament ordered a special referendum which took place on August 3rd, 1375, in which 71% of the voting-eligible population approved the change to Universal Suffrage, making all people within Germany, regardless of gender, religion or racial extraction, eligible to vote.

These social developments had allowed Germany to assume the mantle of one of the world's technological leaders. Tupac, whose scientists were the leaders in the field of atom research decide that a technology share agreement could be feasible between the two nations.

Then came the big news however. The major players in the World War, China and Rome, had met at the American city of Houston and had negotiated and armistice between them. Although it meant that the other nations remained at war, it seemed to most analysts that the war as a whole would soon be over. They were wrong.
Although the Aztecs joined Rome in agreeing peace terms with China, Egypt and Iroquoisland suffered terribly as Aztec and Roman forces ravaged and annexed their lands. Meanwhile Babylon and Japan continued their centruy-spanning war as Japan slowly began to assimilate Babylon.

Tupac's armies continued their push in America however. The shipyards of St. Louis had been the base, for years, of the American fleet in the Northern Oceans. A Zulu force led by Yaki Kadafi succeeded in defeating the American Rifle divisions tasked with its protection and destroying the crucial shipyards.

Houston, the site of the Roman-Chinese Armistice of 1380 was to ironicly be the site of major conflicts as the last of America's Infantry Divisions fought desperately against Tupac's soldiers in a last-ditch effort to maintain control of the Eastern American-Chinese Border. The victory for Tupac's 4th Army Corps marked the end of America's influence in the East.

Near the ruins of Chicago an American force attempted to strike through the Zulu defences around the lightly defended New Northern Ports. Yaki Kadafi had returned to 2PacalypseNow and in his place had left his friend, and comrade of many battles, the talented singer-songwriter Elton John. Elton, had often cooperated directly with Tupac himself and was held in extremely high-esteem by the Zulu leader. Elton's efforts in detecting and destroying the American invasion force was recognised by Tupac who declared that, like Kadafi, he should be named as a hero of Zululand.

15leadervm6.jpg

With the American's having expended so much effort and resources in their failed invasion force, the 2nd Zulu Army Corps was free to move forward toward Detroit, the new Naval Base for the American fleet. The American defences were caught off guard and the short, bloody battle resulted in the massacre of all American soldiers. Citizens in the city collected the arms of their dead protectors and attempted to fight the invading army themselves to no avail. In the end no American who had born arms was left alive in the old city as Tupac ordered its destruction, along with the entire remaining American fleet.

Tupac's strategy for waging war against the American's, who in many cases were well dug-in, was refreshingly simple.

Step 1 - Simply take any large American city. Miami for example.

17step1zg9.jpg

Step 2 - Use artillery to weaken the garrisons and to kill or drive out the population until it is, as civil analysts affectionately refer to as, size 1.

18step2xf8.jpg

Step 3 - Move in large forces and slaughter any remaining defenders or citizens, and raze the city.

19miamilu9.jpg

Step 4 - Rinse and Repeat.

20step4bk6.jpg

21step4part2hn6.jpg

It was a strategy that yielded immense success.

22deadamericaoi6.jpg

The defeat of America had allowed funds otherwise directed toward military efforts to be directed toward civil projects and infrastructure development. The completion of Hoover's Dam in 2PacalypseNow was as a result of this and often came to be regarded as a symbol of the Golden Age of Tupac.

Trade was also able to blossom during this period, continued trade with Germany had proven beneficial to both parties.

However the good times couldn't last forever. As the lands of former America were colonised and developed, the spector time began to worry Tupac. The Golden Age was beginning to end, as was the Industrial Era and he was still decades, if not centuries from attaining total control of his home continent, let alone the lands of Japan and Babylon, Egypt or Germany. Tupac knew that he could sit idle only a short while longer, he knew that danger, was just around the corner...
