Thanks, and no worries, sorry to hear that. feel free to come and go as you please

there seems to be some issues with the beta, cant get the maps to load, started a new game and as soon as I clicked open world builder it crashed

All custom games? Or just the the scenario maps? This does not happen to me, regardless. Does this happen every time? The map loads fine but then worldbuilder crashes?

on custom game, it loaded ok but when I tried to open worldbuilder it crashed.
scenario maps, the biggest of the world maps just crashed during loading screen, the afganistan map loaded but there was something wrong with units, they didn't show up correctly and I couldn't do anything with them, tried a couple more but cant remember which they were.

Hmm possibly it uploaded weird, because I haven't noticed anything close to that before. It works perfectly fine on my computer.

Images of two buildings I just added - stadium (building class), and Penal Colony (New Australian UB)

Well, catching up on the blogs, I see MA is out to pasture. That's a darn shame in my opinion, because it came closest to simulating the pre-dreadnaught/dreadnaught era of any mod I've seen.

I might just have to wait a while. The 100th anniversary of Jutland is in 3 years, someone is sure to come out with a sim. I'll just hope its a Building and Policy game instead of a rote battle emulator.

Alternatively, I could learn to design my own CIV mod, but I know I don't have the mind for it. Ah well.

I'll keep checking in from time to time to see how things are going. - and, just to state the obvious, I couldn't get TTT to work either. :P

MA is still in the works and recently I have actually made pretty good progress with it. I want to get a working Test of Time mod official release, then I plan on updating Eurocentrism (95% done with the scenario, then need to do a little more work, shouldn't take long). Then Africa gets redone (again not a lot of work), then comes MA as that is the longest it will be completed last, but I still plan on finishing it.

I uploaded another versoin, this one should work, if it doesn't I will have you run a test to see if we can find the problem

Stuff added for the first official release
Spoiler :
Unitclasses: Chariot Archer, Slinger
Building Classes: Town Square, Cinema
New Civilizations: Dahomey, Srivijaya

Those are expected, I placed a debug DLL so it pulls random things out like that. Ignore the ones when you open to mod or load a game, I just want to see what it says if your game crashes

2 problems with the debug dLL
-Can't play the maps (Debug DLL sets 18 civs and maps call for 50 so those won't work. try custom games)
-You will get random messages while playing a game, or loading a game. You will notice the game will freeze but not crash. Simply minimize civ, ignore the errors it posts, then go back and it should work.

it did load but when i tried an scenario map, it loaded but after it loaded it was soooooo slow to the point it was un-responsive so i had to control alt delete and shut it down.

I also tried just playing a game rather than an map, same thing slow as f**k, weirdly enough I got world builder to load and when it was in worldbuilder it wasn't slow at all but once I left worldbuilder it went straight back to slow as hell again

I tried it again and minimized it when it was slow and there was no debug but what I noticed this time around was that its actually the settler unit when its clicked on that makes it go super slow I think, the warrior seemed to move ok when I clicked off the settler unit to the warrior unit but as soon as it when back to the active settler unit after warrior had used up its turn it when back to slow as ****

when you first start the settler unit is the one it seems to go to first so it seems that's why its slow as **** straight away I think.

hard to tell really, its the first unit selected when you start a game and you cant have a game without using a settler to start a city

ok so takes forever to load world builder, once it did I built a city and removed the settler unit, added a couple of scouts and workers and archers, they all seemed ok. when I ended turn it was taking ages again, came up with failed assets a couple of times, it wouldn't let me ignore the second failed asset that came up and then it crashed and shut down.

Hmm thats really weird, lemme ask around, and ill try DLing it myself maybe its something weird with that. I played a custom game with israel untill 800 ad, which I got bored (played on noble, conquered everyone on continent) so it works 100% fine on my end....

Hey btw have you thought about modding any more? I am traveling to europe on wednesday (sadly not to your beloved England:lol:) and I won't have internet connection for most of the time, which really restricts my modding capabilities with Modern Alliances (it takes a lot more wikipediaing then the rest of my modding) so if you are interested in helping finish that (honestly if you helped it would be completed for an update very quickly) I would be able to set up a pretty easy tutorial for you with screenshots (all of this is simple typing, guarenteed you would get it w,o questions)

EDIT: Try something for me, delete the mod/assets/python folder and try it again see if it is faster
