The Triumph(?) of the Boers: Yet another AoI Story.

Hopefully the destruction of half their airships and the (almost) complete capture of British Africa will show the British that they shouldn't mess around with the Boers!!! :goodjob: :goodjob:

Well, if that doesn't do the job, the loss of Arabia, Afghanistan and India should do the trick!

Anyways, here's an updated World map as of the end of Operation Desert Fox:

It would be hilarious if Hispaniola took over China!

So long Brit-Africa!

When I saw the wonder splash that went with Cruise Line, all I could think was:

"We have decided to outfit every single cruise ship in the Boer Republic with a large, shirtless, bearded statue of our glorious leader Hikaro. Made of solid gold. Because we're rich enough to do that."

Well, since I can't grow a beard to save my live (aside from a Vetinari-esque goatee), It would have to be a statue of President Paul Kruger (who DID have the beard for it), and yes, we ARE rich enough to make it out of solid gold! :D

Hmm... if we can build tons of solid gold statues, I suggest that we build a mega-tank for me to ram into our enemies... :mischief: Well, that or a massive airship of doom! :D (A part of me says to also create gold bullets... that way I can shoot/write my initials - MS for "Marius Shadouno" - into the bodies of dead enemies... it'll get me to stop using my car as a mobile missile!)

It is quite excellent to see the Sharks bleeding at last! An empire that took centuries to build, collapsing in merely a decade... on to Asia! May the Germanic-speaking peoples be one! :D

Is that Gran Colombia I see creating that horribly ugly green patch in Madagascar?

Lt. Col. Auralia

=O

Words escape me glorious Boer Field Marshal, O mighty Vanquisher of Imperialist British Persons from Britain! I taketh this honour, and happy dance all happy like!

xoxoxoxo

Well, I may have to scrap the Asian campaign... I took Jerusalem, and so far, it's been like the Battle of the Bulge, Chosin Resivoir, and Khe Sahn all rolled into one! I've already shattered ONE Colonial Cavaly Stack of Doomtm and they replaced it with an EVEN BIGGER ONE!!! I'm trying to get more artillery into Israel, and have already rushed a Maxim MG Battalion, giving me 3 with which to defend the city, but if they keep sending troops in these kind of numbers, I might not be able to hold Jerusalem, much less make any further gains!

Is that Gran Colombia I see creating that horribly ugly green patch in Madagascar?

Yes it is, and they are also the ones responsible for the splotch in N. Argentina and Hawaii, too.

dude, this is awesome :) clearly turning into one of the best AoI runs ever!

Wow, thanks for the compliment! It has been an interesting challenge. :D

Darnit. :( Dang British hordes... doesn't help they finished off China JUST as you're moving your way in...

Don't lose hope though! He who has the Holy Land seems to have an unbeatable army. ;) Let's pray this will bless the Boers and their Jewish puppet state against the Shark-infested sands of the East...

Well, fortunately, all that the British had on their side was numbers... Let's just say that the battle ended up in much the same way as the Battle of the Bulge and Khe Sahn. :D

....Or perhaps, considering the time period, much like a certain British Expeditionary Force campaign along a certain river in France during WWI :D

Excellent story. It's really fun to read. Oh, and kick some british/scandanavian @ss!!!!

Just noticed Belize is still under British control. The YankeeEmpire can thwart Mexico and Canada, but not a humble little colony like Belize?

Curse the impassable mountain ranges! :(

Ahhh, so the U.S Navy is as useless in this scenario as it is in real life? Who woulda thunk it. ;)

Actually, that gives me an idea for the Hispanola scenario I'm trying to talk you into. You could eat Belize, then make peace with the Brits, then start chewing Mexico. :mischief:

Perhaps, I could edit the scenario so that Belize is linked up with NA... :mischief: Except the colonialism is replaced with industrialisation, of course.

You're from Western Australia, yes? Well, you may like the idea of an AoI scenario I'm coming up with. ;) I modified the British Empire just a tad on this:

Spoiler :

Yes... just a "tad." :mischief: At least Western Australia and East Australia are separated!

ooooo, that map looks awesome!!

but, i must offer a suggestion, look up where kalgoorlie is, and make that part of the eastern australian country. if western australia seceeded, or didn't join the commonwealth, a new colony/state called auralia would have been created around kalgoorlie and esperance, and then that colony/state would have joined the australian federation. look at my avatar, and that is what the proposed colony would have been.

lol at tasmania. we western australians don't want those inbreds. ;)

i love that you made newfoundland not canadian, which is a mistake i see all to often in some civ4 scenarios.

what year is this set in? do you have a list of countries?

i'm excited about this! perhaps you could make PNG part of eastern australia too, queensland petitioned the queen to allow it to be annexed by the queensland colony.

i'm hyperventilating here now. :mischief:

Khe Sahn and The Battle of the Bulge, and would that last battle be the Marne.

No, I was thinking along the lines of the Battle of the Somme, where the BEF lost over 400,000 men in less than a week to take less than 2 miles of ground.....
