So yeah, we're cross-dimensional Immortal military leaders. Huzzah!
Rules:
- There will be a quick election for Chief of Staff. Whoever has the most votes by Tuesday will become Chief of Staff. If you wish to be CoS, please enter your name for the vote.
- After we finish playing a civilization, we'll change and do a vote for Chief of Staff.
- This will actually be a series of wars in this thread. When a war ends, the game will ultimately go into hiatus where the Commanders are ultimately sent home until the next war but the Chief of Staff and Generals can think up war plans to plan for the next war.
- I as host reserve the right to veto any action any player wishes to undertake. To consolidate the stability of the AAR, to stop interference with the normal functioning of the thread or simply because I feel like it. Don't mess with The Man.
- I am going to ask everyone to use their own nicknames at all times when playing or in story updates they write. This is to avoid confusion.
- The point of this game is to be a military commander. Any attempt to root for the enemy or push for peace will fail.
- There are four levels of command. Sonereal is the King and will decide what is built in the cities.
- The next level is the Chief of Staff. The Chief of Staff is elected every 10 turns by the players. Generals have double the voting power. The Chief of Staff can promote or demote Generals and Admirals and decide who commands which unit. The Chief of Staff decides which General gets which unit. The Chief of Staff also sends me military builds. When I choose to build military units/buildings, I have to follow the order the CoS had set.
The Chief of Staff can also request forts to be built (when available) as well as Citadels.
-Generals/Admirals are represented early on by Great Generals or Citadels. There's an advantage to having either. As a Great General, you're assigned units. You can either follow those units into battle (putting yourself at risk but at the same time, giving the units a bonus) or, if you're assigned to a Citadel, you really don't have to worry about being killed unless the Citadel is pillaged/nuked.
-Finally, there are Commanders. Players can sign up and request which unit to control but the Chief of Staff will ultimately decide who is placed where. All players who sign up MUST be given a unit if one is available.
When a Commander's unit earns a promotion, the Commander decides which promotion is gained and can change the name of the unit.
- You are allowed to write brief narratives on your unit and even develop longrunning plot lines, as long as the whole and the individual parts are approved by the GM.
- The host (Sonereal) retains full rights to ban any person that has violated these rules. Spammers, people using a complaint generator, people inciting hate, people that are found obtrusive for the normal functioning of this thread or people that plain tick him off will be banned from the elections indefinitely.
- Please refrain from PMing me for every War Room-related issue. Alternatives are using the profile visitor comments, or simple commenting in the thread.
- By joining, posting in this thread or VMing/PMing me about any War Room-related issue, you are declaring that you have read and understood these rules to the letter. I don't want to be a jerk, so keep it clean!
Chief of Staff: Magnive
General of the 1st Army: Jukar
1st Spearmen
1st Archer (Barrage)
1st Warrior (Drill)
2nd Warrior (Drill)
3rd Warrior (Drill)
2nd Archer
Commanders:
1st Spearmen:
History: None really. The 1st Spearman was being trained during the titanic battles in the deserts to the east. Currently, they are suffering casualties thanks to fighting on the outskirts of Sparta.
1st Archer (Barrage): Corporal Red Spy
History: The 1st Archer has plenty of kills under it's belt as it helped break the stalemate during the Battles of Tora.
1st Warrior (Drill I):
History: This unit fought in the Battles of Tora on the northern parts of the line.
2nd Warrior (Drill I):
History: Fought on the southern front of the Battles of Tora.
3rd Warrior (Drill I):
History: This unit had some nasty luck. It was stationed on a hill near Athens (before Sparta was built) when the war broke out. The 3rd Warrior was surrounded but it escaped and sat out the war for a few months before fighting its war through the back of the Greek lines to return to Germany.
2nd Archer:
History: None really.
Player Ranking
Your unit's level will decide your secondary rank. . Your "rank" is whatever your unit is though so getting shunted to a lower-level unit equals a loss in rank. Reaching General in a unit means I'll create a new General unit.
ALSO, here is how voting works.
Sonereal: 4 votes
Generals/Chief of Staff: 3 votes
Officers: 2 Votes
Everyone else: 1 Vote
Ranks (Navy-Army-Air Force)
War Council
The War Council is a formalized system chat session in which players will present their thoughts, opinions, and ideas of the war in the first phase of the session. During this session, the players will vote to question a single player. During the Question Phase, the players (except the voted player) will take turns presenting questions and criticism against a single player to which the player will respond (or ignore) the questions and criticisms.
The question phase can also be used to get a player to expand on a strategy he suggested during the Idea Phase.
At the end of the question phase, I can make a question phase, I can order any two players to be switched in position. Even if the player in question is the Chief of Staff.
