Well, I don't know how many of you are members of the wiki. Anyways, I've created this thread so you can request the translation or creation of an article in that version of wiki that still doesn't.

Well, first of all, I've got to say that I'll mainly work for the catalan wiki and I'll translate mainly german articles. But I can work with other languages, so here you got the list:

From German/Spanish to Catalan: Every two days (please, be reasonable, don't expect that I will be able to translate articles like WWI in just two days)

From English to Catalan: One weekly

From Chinese to Catalan: One monthly

From Chinese/German/English/Catalan into Spanish: Only if I find the article interesting

From Catalan/Spanish into German: One monthly

From Catalan/Spanish into English: One monthly

From Catalan/Spanish into Chinese: I'm not prepared, too hard for me, sorry :(

Article creation: I'm not an article creator, double sorry :( :(

Now, make your requests.

Edit:

In order to let you know my previous work in http://ca.wikipedia.org/ I put here my user page and my best articles:

http://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usuari:Gangleri2001

http://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nòrdic_antic

http://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exàmens_imperials_xinesos

As you can see, I'm very proud of the work done in these articles.

Don't worry mirc, if something goes wrong, just ask me, I know how does wikipedia work.

Thanks, but it's harder than it seems, all the internal links don't work in the Romanian version so I have to double-check everything, and Wiki forces me to always use all the Romanian characters in any Wiki article. Still, I'm trying to do it.

Before I discovered [wiki]Kingdom of Loathing[/wiki] I spent a lot of time at work editing Wikipedia. I added a lot to the Spanish CFC page.

Now I understand things like this

I've got to be honest to you and tell you this: Improve your spanish before editing spanish wikipedia.

Well, that's the begining of the article and YOU wrote the begining according to the history of that page. In fact, you wrote the whole article and it's full of mistakes. Don't worry, now I'm going to fix them ;)

That's right, but it would be better if you could add it without mistakes, isn't it?

BTW, DON'T translate proper nouns, please.

Apparently I can't, though, so that has to be removed as an option. If everyone is afraid of making mistakes, the only people who will edit are the sort who don't care because all they are doing is deleting the whole thing and replacing it with "U R gay!!1!".

I'm just encouraging you to improve your spanish, don't take that so seriously!

Check it out:

http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civilization_Fanatics_Center

That looks better. BTW, here you got a list with the words that you couldn't translate or translated in the wrong way:

post: mensaje
family friendly : para toda la familia
reply: respuesta
thread: hilo
bulletin board: tablón de anuncios
comprehensive: exhaustivo or extenso
distinct: distinto (as you can see, there's no c before the t)
computer game: videojuego
postcount: cuenta de mensajes

I can understand that.Doesnt seem to be wrong I guess:) (Yes,I am a beginner)

It's not bad. I never heard "juegos computadoras", and it has no equivalent in portuguese, however a google search seems to indicate that such form in fact exists in spanish (while obviously "videojuegos" is the norm).

Eran's Spanish was quite good for a gringo I'd say.

Anyway, Spanish is just an uncivilized version of Portuguese. That's what you kids should be learning.

That wasn't encouragement. Saying someone has translated something wrong is not encouragement to improve. In order to constructively criticise, you actually have to say what was wrong and how to improve it. And some praise doesn't go amiss either.

Until later on in your last post, all you had said was along the lines of 'Your Spanish is bad. Improve it and stop making so many errors'. How does that count as encouragement to improve? It's not like he was making errors deliberately. The whole point of Wikipedia is for people to be bold and improve articles where they can, even if they don't make it perfect.
