Did I not approve of this? If you want an actual NES, you need to give people the opportunity to carry out diplomacy. The extent of what was done in this one, was a few NAPs so each country can carve up the world and exert their sphere of influence until it is time for the superpowers to duke it out.

Yeah no need for the real alliances of our age - but we do not to have large armies and the ability to create alliances and stop each other's expansion.
