Hello fellow map-makers.
I'm thinking of finishing my half-made world map... Before I embark on that endeavor, however, a medium-sized quandary needs a twinkle of illumination, hopefully providable by someone who's made maps in the new patch.
Now, I know that the recent patch introduced the possibility to change map size in WB after the map has been created... But as far as I can tell, it does this by 'squeezing' the whole map to fit the new parameters, which is more useless than a drunken monkey at a spelling contest (less funny, too).
The useful way to do it, ofc, would be to *cut* pieces from the map boundaries, so that the rest of the map stays the same and the edited edge loses a row of hexes. I want to cut the Pacific and Atlantic oceans on my map since huge stretches of water do nothing but add tedium (with the game's default slow-moving units and ships).
Hopefully there is a way to do this, because if not, then I might lack the fortitude to finish what may now only be a shadow of a great map even if otherwise perfected. I've hated the ocean in all the Civ games and hit myself in the head first thing every morning for overlooking this simple thing when I started making my map (well, not really, but I should).
Regards,
Greizer
