Things I Learned About The World Through CivV

392. You use coal to build a factory, not to make it work.
393. Some people say that aluminum is one of the most abundant elements. They all lie.
394. The US can't have around 5.000 nuclear missiles (correct me if I'm wrong). Where did they get 2.500 of uranium then?395. Naval warfare wasn't that important in History.
396. Historical events happened in 1200 AD and 1210 AD. Absolutely nothing happened between those years. How was the Mongolian empire founded then?
397. Modern physics didn't start at the 18th Century, but probably around 12-13th Century.

More, if I remember correctly.
Also, 2 uranium per missile, not 2 missiles per uranium.

lol minor civs/city states are always more important diplomatically, just like in real life. Countries that are not America, France, England, Germany, China,... etc... ARE basically "city states". Like when Nazi Germany invaded city state Poland and they get minor diplo hits with France and England. Then Germany invaded and puppeted France, taking their capital so then Allies power denounced Germany and went to war. Russia and Allies fight in WW2 together. but immediately afterward Soviets were crazy and become a superpower so America see that as a threat and denounced them and they fight wars on city states ground.
I think you'll find that England isn't a politcal entity in it's own right anymore. ;)

I haven't read all these, I'm at work and have no time at the minute but will definitely check it out when I get home. But here's one that came to my mind and if its a copy then I apologize:

400. It was totally possible for Egypt to build all the world wonders in a single city, Just like Vegas baby. They probably just didn't do it IRL because they were lazy.

406: Once you discover a new weapon, your population loses the ability to build the old one.

407: You can make barbarians with clubs and then train them to use rifles in 1 year, but to train riflemen in the first place takes 10's of years

408: A single ship takes up hundreds of miles of ocean, and is about the size of a city

409: You can have 1000000 bombers and nuclear missiles in a city, but only one ship or soldier

410: Civilizations can't share secrets with eachother. I can have a gun while you have a sword, but you have to get to the gun all by yourself, I can't help you.

411. When cities are captured, exactly half of their population is lost.
412. However, when cities simply change owners, none of the population is lost.

413. To build the pyramids you don't need workers, however when you finish them a lot of them will be born soon after.
414. Civilians don't care at all whom they serve. All it takes to convince them is someone with a weapon talking to them once. And be it some guy living in a camp.
415. Civilians trying to find a new home for their families completely loose this wish when they "join" another nation. they like to build farms then.
416. The government pais for every single building in its cities.
417. You never need to build roads in a city. They just exist.
418. Chariot Archers fall asleep when they attack someone. People actually riding the horses don't.
419. State of the Art military units don't need Oil.
420. You can tell people to work the ocean without knowing how to sail.
421. Most of modern era tech like computers, satelites and stealth bombers don't require you to know what plastics are.
422. Oh yeah and 240 does not equal 8*30

Where did you get the last one?

423: In contrast to every other civilization on the planet the koreans managed to develop a wooden trebuchet that shoots steel tipped arrows that does not require iron, and is only marginally less effective at doing damage to fortified cities then it's equivelants that shoot huge rocks.

Other metal? 425. The only metals that exist are iron and aluminium.

Uranium is a metal, so is gold and silver, I also could've worked with copper if they kept it in.

Kind of a silly thing to comment on really, especially when you're wrong, you venting frustration from something else?

Especially since I actually did make a mistake about the Hwach'a, because it fired possibly steel tipped rocket arrows with black powder tubes attached but alas, chill out brah.

Wow, it was late at night - I managed to forget all three were in the game (uranium particularly, since I was thinking of strategic resources and didn't condider the luxury metals).

That's rather the point of this thread, surely? Such as:

425 take two. Razing a city generally takes several years.

427. Eventually all our roads will be replaced by railroads.

434. Nuking is fun.
435. Sailing ships can sink Battleships
436. Settlers and fishing boats can withstand many many rounds of punishment.
437. Every country had a painted line telling you where the borders are.
