Hmm, probably alot more than I actually care. Games are games. My job takes most of my effort anyway than history.

Upon completion of the highway, Poland as a whole was so happy about this that their leader pleaded eternal loyalty to the German people in a grandiose speech. Sure, Germany tore that road down immediately after the Polish president ended his speech, but the Poles didn't really mind. It was the thought that counted :)

Off the top of my head, the Aztec Triple Alliance seems closest to an RL example of that (it was actually an oligarchy, but it had characteristics of both of the above systems).
