Things I Learned About The World Through CivV

333. Berlin was founded before Trier.
334. ...so were Munich and Frankfurt.
335. On a related note, Trier was founded by the Germans.
336. There were no hunter/gathers, only farmers in the early times.
337. Wheat is the only grain resource in the world.
338. ...so rice cultivation had no impact on the development of civilizations in Asia.

That's not entirely true, Hunters/Gatherers were nomads, in this game, there are no nomads, as the intro fro Civ 4 states that "your people have settled down". So it's not necessarly "as stupid' as it sounds...

I think.

341. Montezuma pretended to be Jesus and entered Madrid with his Jaguars.

342. Trade using the water did not start untill the late medivel period

343. By training really hard the crew of the destroyer managed to increase the range of it's canons by 50%

345: If a group of people chucks anything at another group, it will always take out at least 10% of the opposing group. Don't get into any snowball fights, kids!

347. DoF means I will stab you in the back in 3....2.....1.
348. My 10 warriors will take on your 6 swordsman anyday.

349. The Japanese can't feel pain and have no sense of fear.
350. The Iroquois could use forests to the efficiency of paved roads.

This is a universal lesson I learned from all incarnations of Civ:

351. Early civilizations had to learn how to work iron in order to discover it.

352. When China invaded New York, its citizens were so impressed with Chinese culture that all the remaining buildings were instantly converted into Asian style architecture.

352. When China invaded New York, its citizens were so impressed with Chinese culture that all the remaining buildings were instantly converted into Asian style architecture.

353. There is only one style of Asian architecture.

354. You can save the world. Then load it again.

355. If you stringently adhere to traditions, whenever you pick up 4 apples, you'll have 5 apples.

356. Harun al-Rashid was notorious for peddling imitation silk made from the counterfeiting operations nestled in Arabia's bazaars.

357. Plato was born in Quebec, and he traveled hundreds of miles in his wizard robes on his garish carriage to reach India, where he promptly transformed into a large prestigious school.

358. If you keep up a strong engineering tradition in your countries, you will eventually produce an engineer that has superhuman abilities and can finish a project in a single year by himself, regardless of how long it would normally take.

359. The walls of Babylon are found in any Mesopotamian city

360. Babylon isn't a city state, but Dublin, Edinburgh, Warsaw, Kathmandu, Brussels and several other cities are.

360. Danish Longswordsmen were faster than Siamese Elephant-warriors.

361. Persia's Golden Ages were so magnificent, they inspired warriors to fight harder in battles.

362. Persia's Golden Ages lasted longer than any other civilization.

363. Barbarians are smart enough to invent Mechanized Infantry all by themselves, but not smart enough to use diplomacy.

364. The moment the Babylonians invented writing, an unknown Great Scientist was born that fueled Scientific discoveries in Babylon for their entire existence.

353. There is only one style of Asian architecture.

Yes, I'm saying its funny that when you take another civilisation's city it no longer looks as it did whilst under its previous ruler i.e all the skyscrapers in New York suddenly changing into Asian style, or the sacking of Rome turned it into a little German village :)

Edit: On that note, I feel that if the architecture remained true to its former owner, occupying the city would feel more realistic - the city would remain never completely unified with the rest of your Empire.
