thought this was weird

dont know where to put this but i was playing rome and was at war with the aztecs when i realised the capital rome wasnt there, veii was the capital(now in aztec hands), this a bug or something? pretty strange..

Did you hit "build" for your initial settler, and then cancel it and to hit "build" again? In that case, it automatically skipped over Rome and went to the next city name in the list, Veii.

I am not sure that I quite understand about exactly what happen... You say Veii was your capital where Rome just suddenly disappeared or something?
Maybe your capital was taken which made Veii you capital, but even if you take your capital back { Rome }, your capital still remains as Veii...

Wait a second... Rome, the capital, I don't see it anywhere on the screenshot, so where was it located and does it even still exist? My guess is the Aztecs taken your capital and just maybe you didn't notice or pay any real attention to it and that would make Veii your new capital which the Aztecs took Veii which then leaves you with Neapolis as your capital. Hmm... I dunno, I'm lost and confused now lol... Maybe it is a bug, who knows...

no i hit build once, i think it was named rome before the aztecs took the city if i remember correctly.

where veii is was where i started the game, it used to say rome but its not rome anymore, i only noticed after the aztecs took the city, the only destroyed city on the map was one way over by my eastern border so i know rome wasnt destroyed by the aztecs.

Can you upload a save? If you retire, you'll see what cities were built. (i.e., "Rome Founded 4000BC").

problem solved, i never founded rome in the game, think i should pay more attention.
