Thoughts on Cadaver Donation

Good plan. Though that can be done after the med students finish cutting you up.

My grandmother was a cadaver donor. I personally would prefer to be an organ donor, though donation to science is quite important as well.

True Enough. Might as well make my corpse good for something. Just throwing it in the ground seems like a waste.

Burning it seems like a bigger waste.

I actually don't know what to do with my body when I'm cold and dead. I like the idea of still being useful to science and medicine after death but also like the idea of a proper send-off.

Perhaps I can give away my organs to donors and science but keep the outer appearance of my body.

But I would be putting all of the ashes that result from the fire into use.

I have done so some ten years ago, when I was still in college. First or second year IIRC. We were quite a few that did it.

At a minimum, it will help train medical doctors, which I think we all can agree is something noble.

BTW cremains (yes, that is a real word) is pretty much just burned skeletal parts.

I wish to be a cadaver donor. As mentioned, it allows me to serve a purpose after my death.

Yes, on the condition that they cut my limps and head off, bury them in the shape of a pentagram (with each point spaced to create a circle with a diameter of 66.6 feet), and bury my head in a small hill in the center with a peach seed. The other five points could have a different tree grown from them, and my torso would be burnt and used as fertilizer.

My religious beliefs are that you are the substance of your body and that you will experience the fate of your corpse, after "death". I could be wrong, but why take the chance? I want my body to return to the Earth so that I may return as the grasses and the deer and the hunter. I shall return to rule, once more! ... I mean, I shall return to live, again!

I've told people I want to be a cadaver when I die, but I've done no legal paperwork or anything of the sort to indicate it.

So I'd be a organ donor if they see my drivers license, but would like to be a cadaver (or at least look into it more).

I'd like my body to be used for something rather than laying around in some hole or some ashes somewhere.
