I wish there was a way to turn off the "sorry we attacked a CS that you previously allied with". I feel like this is 50% of the diplomatic screens that come up and is completely useless.

It is, esp since the rich AIs going at war with other AIs always seem to purchase your allied CSs for just a turn, which gives instant DoW and then since the human buys them back the next turn, every AI not at war with the human has to apologize in such a way

OMG THIS. Late in the game it's pretty ridiculous. How many times do I have to say "I don't friggin CARE, my city state is probably kicking your ass anyway!"
