Thrawns Random SG

Even before Thrawn was given a proper burial in the lake nearby Salamanca; Kefka assended to the throne and hearby announced his rein as leader of the Iroquois empire!
"This lake shall now be known as lake Thrawn!" Kefka stated during the burial of the first great leader.

In 2900 BC The frendly Incan tribe who lived just above the babalonians gave us there map, wine was spoted near as was another tribe's village.
Also we finnally made contact with the "Orange border" people, they called themself's the English. We hold the tec of Warrior code over them but they own one spice Nothing was accomplished at the first Iroquis-english meeting and they ended up just cautious of us.

In 2750 BC An english settler was spotted heading towards the Insence that we so desire  our scout now trys to slow them down before our settlers reach there.
In other news The village that was spotted to the north turned out to be Inhabited by the good people of the Apache they teach us the secrets of the wheel and some horses were discoverd near Salamanca.

In 2710 BC A green settler was discoverd near were the Apache roam we contact them and it turns out that they were part of the Persian empire.
The settler quickly takes us to there leader (whom I have not bothered to remember there name)and after many hours at the barganing table I got them to give us 10 gold and bronze working for the Alphabet :)
I Kefka accept the deal, we now have bronze working and have begain to search for the secrets of Iron working.
Kefka then begain to Inquire about there tec. masonry but they propley told us to leave, I guess we wont have masonry this turn :(

Many Spices were discoverd in the south but they may be hard to take as there is a lot of tundra and southen woods down there

In 2590 BC Our Settler has finnally arrived near the Incense and a city is quickly founded there the name is debated over a lot and Kefka finally decides to name it Kefkland ;)

25 gold was taken from some nameless tribe near persia.
Persia and Babloyn have two cities at this point.

In 2510 BC a road to horses near Salamanca was completed and the Iroquois people were happy as we could now create Chariots.

In 2470 BC Salamanca is no longer defensless as the first spearman army is created.

2350 BC was a great year for Kefka and his subjects as a settler was found from some tribe in the south,
and in the north the saxon tribe taught us the lost art of Masonry.
The settler in the south looks for a decent place to settle
And they find it in 2270 BC, as they founded Niagra Falls near two spices :)

In 2230 BC Salamanca Builds a settler and it begains the trek to the south for the extra beef which is now a main source of food for the Iroqois. :goodjob:

2190 BC Horrible news KEFKA WAS KILLED BY RAMPAGING HORSES IN AN ATTEMPT TO RIDE THEM
For unknown reasons Kefka thought it would be a great Idea to get on a horse and ride it. His ride was short as he was the first person to ever attempt to ride the beast.
It was going fine at first and many belived he had discoverd horseback riding but then without warning the beast reared up and threw the rider from his back, as Kefka attempted to excape the horse came down on him and with its hoof our leader's skull was crushed. :(
I guess horseback riding will have to wait, Kefka alone could not tame the beasts.
The people now await as a new leader is chosen.

despite the fact that we have not learned map making a crude map was created of our land at the tragic end of Kefka's rule.

and here is that map.

Oh yes the file for the next leader :goodjob: firestarter :D I feel we can win this.

just to remind you Niagra falls down south is basicly unprotected

and thats about it :D just have fun but remember those turns can go by fast

I have deleted the Attachment: "hiawatha of the iroquois, 2190 bc.zip" file to help conserve space on the server ;)

I've always mistrusted the persians, and the english. The english grow like weeds, and as soon as Persia hits Iron working, they've got their Unique Unit.

I think we need to expand to cut off english from coming our way, and try blocking persia off somehow.

Too bad about the horseback riding thing :D

From what I've seen of the map, it could be pangaea. Which means we want the pyramids, sun tzus, and the hoover dam. They are excellent wonders for this type of map. Seeing as we have masonry, lets start the pyramids! :)

And we get our UU once we discover horseback riding. :D

Good luck Firestarter!

Got it.

Let's see what I can do... it looks like we really don't have a ton of land to work with.

I'll try to get the Pyramids going as soon as possible, and get those roads connected with the incense.

Is there anything else I should try for before I get started?

Yea but at least we have horses :goodjob: I was trying to give my ending a little spice.
and just to note we do have spice in Niagra Falls :goodjob:
also I was going for Iron working cause I just like to see were Iron is as soon as possible so we can expand to it ;)

so good luck firestarter ;)

Thanks for that. :)

Firestarter, apart from those two, not really. Just keep expanding. I think I'll put a list of objectives in that first post, where the roster is. Sure I've seen that done somewhere before.

In the glorious year of 2190 BC (or so the sooth sayers told me), I arose for the first time to the throne of the growing Iroquois empire.

In heirited turn (0) 2190 BC - The science rate was adjusted to 90%, the benefits of this was two extra turns to Iron Working while only losing 1 gold per turn from our coffers, in effect putting us at equilibrium. I also checked our diplomatic status, and we are doing well, we have all the tech we can get right now.

2150 BC (1) - Scouts and warriors encountered new lands, adding to our maps.

2110 BC (2) - Salamanca gathered enough resources to create a working force for us. The people wished to undertake a great project called "The Pyramids", which would act as a granary in all friendly cities on our continent, which would be vast.

2070 BC (3) - A working forc at Kefkland started a road that would bring incense to Kefkland! Soon I wished to connect roads to Salamanca and our southern colonies. Kefkland was interested in building a band of Spearmen for defence since the English are near. Also, a band of Settlers founded Grand River on a hill near other mining spots and a cattle area.

2030 BC (4) - Salamanca grows, and the turns for the Pyramids drop from an estimated 98 to 65! The Pyramids will become even quicker as the town continues to grow. I am pleased at the production levels Salamanca may once reach.

1990 BC (5) - Troops were once again moved around to reveal more.

1950 BC (6) - A warrior unit spots a barbarian! He is approaching Kefkland, and we are ready to defend. A mine is also started, and a warrior reaches Grand River to defend it.

1910 BC (7) - Our defence is successful! The barbarian has been defeated! As well, a road is finished to the incense! As a tribute to my duties, the people offer to expand the palace, and I do not hesitate to accept! As well, one of our brave scouts who travelled south and west came upon a small hut of the Cyrib tribe, these warriors offered us Mysticism, opening up another great project, the Oracle!

1870 BC (8) - Workers are trained in Niagara falls, and they will create mines and connect spices once they are able. Another mine is created, and the roads are starting to come together. We are victorious in the south over another barbarian!

1830 BC (9) - All was quiet as our workers continued to improve our lands, when our scouts realized that the English (or so they were called) had founded another town with they had called "York". They now have two cities, while we have five.

1790 BC (10) (Last turn of this round) - Grand River produced a working group who headed to the cattle area to increase its production. Our warrior in the South followed a trail to a barbarian camp, and cleared it out, pillaging 25 gold! It has been added to our coffers for future consideration.

And so ends my first reign, in the glorious year of 1790.

Notes:

- Iron Working has 4 turns left
- the Pyramids have 59 turns, but Salamanca will grow in population on the next turn, this should drop it close to 40 turns
- the road from Kefkland to Salamanca is almost finished, thereby increasing the range of the incense

For the next ruler:

- continue to settle, preferably go southwest, I have searched that area and it looks good for three reasons:
1) still close to capital, decent production
2) the land looks decent, good to grow
3) we want that land before england gets it, and then we will surround them on two sides, which will have military importance

The military importance is big since the English twons are close to us and if we talk them early enough we can turn them into good production as well without having to extend ourselves really far.

- continue to connect roads to Salamanca, then to Grand River, and eventually over to Niagara when we have the time

- continue to build the pyramids, then work on some military so we can back up any aggresive expansion by us or our neighbours

- as for science, we already have horses so it may be good to get our special unit early and start claiming our dominance

This is looking like a good game!!!

Good luck to the next ruler, and I can't wait to get back in the throne for me next batch of turns!

Fire

I already got an Idea of how my playing style differs from others but that makes the game so much more fun ;)

I guess Firestarter is our first leader who has not ended his rein in a death :goodjob:
I too feel we are on a pangea map and I guess barbarians are light If this is Indeed a Pangea map then (It could just be a big continent) we should get contacts with everyone very quickly once we can trade contacts, If thats a good or bad thing only history can tell.

LordNocturne is next so Lets continue to Kick @$$!

Sorry everyone, i've been EXTREMELY busy lately. I just downloaded the file and will start it as soon as i finish this.

Long live the Iroquis!

-LN

Ok, i began a road from The North to The South :D I'll let someone else finish. Also started one to Niagra spices

Inherited Turn -1790
Didn't change a thing :D Good job firestarter

1750 - Turn 1
Began a road from Grand Rivers to Salamance, And one from finished the one from Salamance to Kefkland

1725 - turn 2
England has 3 cities... GRRR

1700 - Turn 3
Iron working! Started Horseback riding (Hehe..), We have Iron near Niagra Falls

1675-1650 - Turn 4 and 5
Nothing Much

1625 - Turn 6
Warrior From Kefkland sent to destroy Barbarian town to the north

1600 - Turn 7
Grand River completes its worker, Begins Temple

1575 - Turn 8
Movement, Worker movement + Improvements

1550 - Turn 9
We get Mathematics from A Goody hut!

1525 - Turn 10 - Final Turn

Kefkland Warrior destroys the barbarin menace! He becomes a Veteran and pillages 25 gold!

So, Steve, continuing the Road from The North To The South will net us 2 Luxuries total. There's a barbarian hut to the south of Grand Rivers - Watch your workers.

It's starting to look good. The English have three towns now, including Horses near Nottingham. I don't think they have iron though, so we may be able to get an edge there.

The road network is starting to come in, which is a good base for future improvements and expansion.

The pyramids are due in less than 30 turns, and Salamanca will decrease that further in three turns when it grows again.

To the next ruler(s): we need more cities! I think the best thing is to get as much of the land south of England as we possibly can! Getting land around Ur before it expands any farther would be great too.

Good job LordNocturne and good luck to the next ruler.

After much confusion and chaos caused by the unannounced departure of Lord Nocturne, an unemployed farmer boy by the name of Steve crept into the Royal Palace, disguised as the departed Lord. Despite his English accent, none of the Royal Entourage noticed the difference, save one butler who 'disappeared' under unusual circumstances.

Stevos the Great, as he had begun to call himself, looked upon 'his' lands, and pondered his strategy. The voices in his head were telling him 'Build more cities'.

A decree is issued from the Palace. Thou shallt breed like the rabbit! And settlers are started at Niagra Falls and Kefkland. A lone scout wanders headlong into a barbarian warrior, who slays him. The loss of our scout will be avenged! Salamanca, not able to handle the breeding frenzy, goes into disorder. The worker teams there finish the last mines, as no more will see any use until the disorder is quelled and the population grows substantially. A large stack of workers is committed to the freeway project, joining New River to the rest of the trade network.

A screw-up in the worker allocation starves Salamanca down to 5. At least order is restored there. Kafkland is micromanaged to maximize production, at the expense of growth, to get that settler out faster (7 turns instead of 10).

The great sages tell us that they have learned the art of Horseback Riding. They are ordered to research a way of organizing our alphabet into words, that our learnings will eventually be written down and stored for posterity. Great River is attacked by two barbarian warriors. They fail miserably.

Word comes through that the New River freeway project has completed. The cuisine in our lands becomes a little less bland and a lot more spicy. A temple is completed at Grand River and a spearman is ordered, so that the warrior currently protecting the city can go to hunt down the barbarian camps.

More barbarians appear at Grand River. They are killed and our warrior receives a promotion to Veteran.

Kefkland announces that it's breeding program is a success, and a settler is sent out to create what will be a high production city North of the capital. A temple is begun.

Grand River completes a project to train it's citizens in the art of the Spear. A barracks is ordered, so that future spearmen will automatically have veteran status. The warrior guarding Great River is relieved, and wanders off in search of the Barbarian camp.

Our settler founds the city of Steveopolis on the coast North of our capital. With grasslands and hills within it's radius, it will be an awesome wonder production city once it's population grows. A temple is started there to expand the borders

Lizzie sends her envoy over from England demanding horsback riding. I might be English, but that doesn't stop me giving the pasty tart the brush-off. We found Irontown next to an iron source, which has already been connected to the road network in anticipation of this. We can finally start building a fearsome swordsman army and tell Lizzie where to shove her demands for tech.

Our warrior looks out from a hill and spies a Barbarian horseman. The dumb Barbarian attacks and gets cleaved in half. We figure out the art of words, and begin to figure out how to turn them into literature.

With out new-found knowledge of writing we create embassies with England, Babylon and the Aztecs. I have to laugh as England is 238 turns from completing the pyramids. We're only 5 turns away from them.

At this point the rumours of an imposter in the palace are running rampant, and Stevos the Great is dragged away by revolting peasants. Where he is dragged to, no-one knows. There are rumours that he may return to rule again one day...

(1) There is a worker stack with the warrior to the East of New River. The intent is to road out to the red spot at the bottom of the picture. A settler is being built at New River. Once we get a temple in there, we will have two gold, two more spices and another source of iron within the borders (!).

(2) I've marked other 'interesting' city sites with red spots.

(3) Our military is weak. I have Grand River building a barracks, once that is built, we should start cranking out military units (swordsmen) there.

Got it, can't play now, but will most likely have it done by this time tomorrow. Expect a summary around then.

I'll try and build on those red dots as well.

That Iron is not were I would have expected it. I assumed our Iron would be in the hills north of Salamanca or south of Niagra Falls near the gold.
also I did not expect TWO turns to go by since I last saw it
but great game :goodjob: my turns comming up soon ;)

Lets spread like Maggots on a old dead elk!

-Grand River builds a barracks, begins training a spearman.
-The English have started The Oracle.
-I sell Mathematics to the english and babylonians for a total of 90 gold. We are running a -1gpt deficit.

850BC
-We get 50g from the Carib tribe.

-More movement.

775BC
-Kefkland builds a temple, construction begins on a barracks. Grand River finishes training a spearman, starts another.

550BC
-Cattaraugus founded out west, near cattle and wheat. It begins a temple.

Notes:
-Keep up the expansion, I managed to cut the english off from all the land between us the the babs/persians. But I watched the replay and found out that they've managed to get a city near the persians. So if we go to war, we'll want to get the persians into it as well. Or have troops over there of course, to deny the persians a city.
-Next research goal should be currency to help cure our money woes.
-Now that we have mapmaking, we should trade world maps. I didn't think about doing this on my turn, but oh well.

Good luck Kefka!
