As I said then, that's the way it was in the original pdf from 2K. Maybe once I finish my Scottish mod I'll fix this and repost.

I'm not so sure about that. I bought my copy in Canada (I was there on business and happened to find a copy at a local computer store). I got both: English and French tech trees in my box (gotta love the Canadians!). What I want to know is if the French tech trees were French or French Canadian!?!

You probably won't because they probably only produced one version.
French and Canadian French are *very* close, the most important different is the accent (like between BE and AE) but in vocabulary, the differences are too small for two different versions.

I really like this idea of splitting the poster into pages.

I'd like to do the same for french poster, but all I have is the real french poster...I'm not sure scanning it will produce a clean result, maybe I should try...

Let me save you time and tell you it won't work worth a damn.

The reason the thing I made ended up looking so clean is because I had a .pdf to start from. I used Adobe Photoshop to make this. When I use the PLACE command in Photoshop, I rescaled the original pdf. Photoshop treats this as a vector graphic and then redraws it in larger size. It is very different than scanning into a bitmap (gif, jpg, etc are all examples of bitmaps) then stretching it.

Hello All,

Like many I received a French Language Tech Tree Poster in my Civ4 box.

2k Was kind enough to post a .pdf of the poster in English. Kudos to them.

Problem is, the damned thing is so small when printed you can't read it.

So I, instead of working today, fired-up PhotoShop and made a new .pdf file which has the different sections of the poster blown-up and on spearate pages.

I don't feel the thing viloates copyright in any way as I simply taking the .pdf that 2k is distributing for free, and presenting it differently.

ATTENTION FORUM MODERATORS: Please fell free to copy this file and put it in a public download area here at CivFanatics. I fear that if a huge number of people download this thing it will adversely affect my bandwidth.

Funnily enough ... on the French poster .... everything is Alphabetized by its ENGLISH translation

same on the Dutch poster... wish I got the English version.
