Tiberian Dawn: A Command and Conquer IOT

A question: Why can't units move from province to province? If I have 50 in California and none in Oregon, why can't I send half of them there? Does it have something to do with the original game (I have never played a C&C)?

I missed this edit.

Units can't move province to province because it is a dreadful process given my experience with the Red Alert IOT. Since I'm using the Iron and Blood 2 map instead of the Hearts of Iron 2 map, I figured not allowing movement is a good call.

On the flip side, given that credits will come by easier and quicker (relatively) in this than the game, it means expanding into a territory you really really really really need up and running now will require a war chest (you can build a War Factory, build a MCV with that war factory, send that MCV to another territory to unpack into a Construction Yard, and build stuff with that MCV, ,and so on on the same turn).

Mind you, units still move if you use them to take an enemy territory. Overall, it is meant to reduce a rather tedious process on my end while encouraging base building on the other end.

After all, in CNC, the units you built one mission didn't carry over to the next mission (base to new base).

Makes sense. Alright then.

Attention! Nicolas Morn , leader of the hard working militant organisation the Leiurus Blade and Commander from the divine society of freedom fighting supporters as the Brotherhood of Nod, wishes to speak to all citizens of Egypt.

Attention brothers and sisters! I am not a imperialist figure that has come to make slaves of you. That will be the agents of the greedy GDI, whom had denied your freedom by allowing dictatorship you rule your land. Now you rule land thanks to the efforts of my organisation, the Leiurus Bladem, and the Brotherhood of Nod, a organisation that is grander in power than any mere state like the gluttonous countries of the self-proclaimed “First World.” Of course that would not include the Germen Reich, Portugal and Sicily, who have redeemed themselves in the eyes of the true saviour of us all: Kane. Kane will lead us to victory against the imperial GDI. Kane will lead us to salvation. Kane has chosen I, Nicolas Morn, to oversee Nod’s efforts in this most ancient of lands. Kane now wants Egypt to prosper. Your interests will benefit us greatly. In is in your gain that we will gain.

In ensuring of our security that I am ordering for an F-22 practice run over Upper Egypt as a means to prepare ourselves for the imperial aggression of the GDI. My second in command, Aram Darzi, will be overseeing their arrival from the constructed communication centre we are setting up. We also issue that we are in of figure to drive and operate our harvesters that will arrive. We will provide training and good salary to those that come fourth. We are in the process of a recruiting a homeless beggar to become the driver of one of our harvesters as a means to ensure a good future for him and our economic operations. Tiberian is the key to the future. We will inform of more but I have duties to oversee your security. The Brotherhood will in the end of the day us the key to open the door to the future... and will crush all who try to stop the way of freedom. Good day!

Son, can we sell buildings for half-price?

-L

I'll allow the selling of buildings for half-price, but it would require a Construction Yard ticket.

The reasoning is is that it would be rather gamey if someone could just sell their entire base for half-price right before it's captured.

What LH said.

A single Airfield can build up to five vehicles a turn (MCVs and Harvesters are vehicles).
A single Barracks can build up to five infantry units a turn.

Why can Nod only defend against air strikes and blow nukes up, but the GDI can defend, has an airstrike, cruise missiles, and a friggin' ion cannon?

What happens if you run out of power? You randomly shut down buildings till power's acceptable, everything goes down, or stuff works at a lower capacity?

How the hell are you going to keep track of experience, and are we supposed to do it too?

If any Nod player needs a spreadsheet, I can give you one. GDI can't have it because I don't feel like it.
