Hey there! My first post so I hope I ain't doing anything wrong. Also, I'm sorry if this has been discussed before.
Anyway, I was just wondering, has anyone else ever had an experience where the game has started giving the wrong effects for certain tile improvments? For example, when I built mines on hills they only gave me +2 sheilds instead of +3, or when I built irrigation on grassland it had no effect at all. I've been playing the game for years, and it only started happening this afternoon, so it confused me a little.
I went into the 'rules' file to check everything was right there, and it still said the bonus for mines on hills was 3 and irrigation on grassland was 1, so I tried changing it, putting in 4 and 2 respectively. This worked, and now I get the normal results for these improvments, it just seems strange that the game seems to be putting -1 on their effect. Any explanations?
Also, while I'm here, is there anywhere on this site for discussing Colonization? It's a great little game and I'm assuming it must be from the same people who make Civ, since they're so alike.
Thanks
