time between turns

Everyone who has games with really slow turns, can you try your games with this new DLL? I've made some modifications, and am curious if you notice any difference. It won't break saves.

(The DLL should be copied to Rise of Mankind/Assets/; overwriting the old one already there)

I noticed that I can't load saves anymore. I can start new games but loading the saves, whether or not the save was made before the DLL or after, just leads to CTDs.

Hm. On my snail 1.73J game, the turns are now at about 5-6 minutes, but that increases significantly when the computer player contacts me.

I actually have to come back and say, the turn times do seem to be far extended. Something I noticed that might or might not have an effect is that there seems to be substantially more barbarians - which converted into substantially more barb civs, because there's enough to keep the player/AIs on the back foot while the cities languish around long enough to become real civs. I actually ended the game because it was way too early for the turns to be taking as long as they were...

I may try tomorrow without barbciv on...

So far (playing on H now, not much difference) I've noticed that when I hit the early medieval period, there is a massive increase in turn times. I expect them to increase steadily, and with most mods I expect the industrial to be very slow. As soon as I hit that period though, turn times almost double across 3 or 4 turns.

I play on the biggest size, about 150 AD I know about 15 civs, and already have gunpowder units, physics and communism researched, it takes about 15 seconds. I could wait even 30 seconds that's not problem for me but if I will need to wait about 1:30 I will get angry.

Yesterday I found myself in the late-medieval period, turn times running close to a minute, even more if there's a major war going on. I had to leave for awhile, and I decided to leave the PC running until I returned. When I got back home, and clicked 'end turn', it finished the turn in about 10 seconds. I was gone about 30 minutes. It only took 3 or 4 turns before it was back to the 1 minute + grind, though. I'm not sure if it's relevant or useful, but there it is.

Messages or game events amassing up maybe? What I mean by "messages" are all these stuff shown on screen below GG/GP bars.

I have a Giant-Enternity game going. 36 hours in near the end of the Modern era. I would say it takes ~2 minutes between hitting enter at the end of the turn and the first city build pop up. To keep gameplay speed somewhat bearable I make worker stacks of 3-6 and rely heavily on queueing for cities (saves a ton of time). My .sav file is up to 940k though and am unsure even w/3GB switch how large of a file I can have before I MAF (was ~800k before MAF w/o the switch).

One thing I find it the game tends to hang for 30+ seconds when I spead a corp. Rather annoying as I am in corp spam stage.
