Tolkien's Middle-Earth Modpack

Well, Hansi, first of all, the install program installs the files to C:\Program Files\Civilization 3, so if thats not your Civ3 directory, then you should copy the files to the correct directory. If thats the problem, then it should be solved. I it's not, then I guess I can't help.

PyshcoDestroyer, thats spamming, so quit it...

Wizard (it seems that you're the master here now... ;) ), is this still in version 0.2?

Is it already working (not version 1...)?

Should I wait more?

I'm thinking in starting modding when C3C comes out with the new Editor (I still have Vanilla and the editor :vomit: ). Should I start getting in this enormous and monstruous task?

Why don't other experienced modders pick this?

What do you say about the playability of this Mod at the current state?

WHERE is ECLIPSE?

Thx for your time :D

PyshcoDestroyer, 1 post, 1 spamming post: what a good average...

Well, it is still 0.2.:(

Other experienced modders are at least making a huge mod at the base Creation & customisation forum, check it if you like.

The mod is playable, but there are really many problems, and so on...

Nobody lnows where Eclipse is.:(

You're welcome:)

I have the same problem as Hensi's. I double checked the installation folder, it was correct. btw, I have CivIII v1.29.

No screens available, I fear...

smurfw, you must uninstall the patches so that the version of your game is 1.21f. It won't work on newer patches. :(

And, welcome to CFC! :D

I have lots of problems with this mod too. Questions?...

1. Does it run on CIVIII or PTW?

2. What versions are needed to run it?

3. Anything special to install the mod?

Thanks!

CivIII plain.

1.21f. If you have a higher patch, it won't work.

Install also the hobbit spearman thingy from the first or second page.

You're welcome!:)

Wizard,

Thanks! One more question. Will installing the mod disrupt my PTW game? I know it will alter plain CIVIII, but will it affect how PTW runs?

Thanks Again.

Thanks for the tip, Wizard.
However, it's just a part of the solution. I later found out that the downloaded installation file won't install MOD files to the directory or disk drive other than the default folder (C:\program files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\). My CivIII folder is in E:\games\CivilizationIII\. To fix it, I simply run the MOD TMEv0.2.msi and have the files installed in its default folder, then move those files to where they should be (E:\games\CivilizationIII\). It seems to be fine for now. Don't know if other players have the same experience.

Okay, A quick Question.

I did download the whole mod pack. then downloaded the latest patch and uninstalled the other one. The show up screen works well but when I create a new game, all the old units are still there. even after I installed the whole mod pack and the new patch n all.

What went wrong? The title screen but not the others...

I'm lost...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I did realise that some of the graphics work. but I still don't see any hobbit or elf units. >.>

Sorry, I can't help you. :( I never had a problem like that.

Are you sure they weren't hobbit or elf units? They don't differ from the original ones so radically, it's possible to mix up...

Ahh well. After checking the Dark Elf site and checking back here again I would have to say this Mod has gone the way of the Dodo.

Too bad, it had huge potential. Thanks to Eclipse for the work he put in!

He means since it hasn't been updated in long time, for only 1.21f original civ 3, no one is probably going to download it. And if anyone know eclipse personally, like phone # adress etc, can you tell us if he is okay or something, because he last updated his site the 12 of July and last posted here the 16 of April.

Well, I converted the mod to work with Civ3PTW1.29f. It is about 40 MB tho.

Just wondering what I should do at this point..
