The problem with Vanilla is, it is a pain to mod. It is also very basic compared to Conquests. You would be better off getting Conquests which has PtW included amd waiting for Lord of the Mods. Sorry.

i bought conquests but it wont work so I want a mod for reg civ.
the screen goes blank like its loading then goes back to windows.
i tried calling atari we tried everyhting wudnt work.

Did you take the game back to where you got it from? Or is your computer old? I don't think Conquests has more requirements than Vanilla does it? If you take the game back and tell them it's faulty they should let you exchange it. If not then don't shop there anymore, they're a rip off.
EDIT: Also it might be better to check with Firaxis about the CD if you still have problems after exchanging or can't exchange. They might be more helpful than Atari. They're more into the civ community and actually monitor these boards.

I originally took it back and they did exchange it.

Don't know their number, but you can look on their website. Don't know the web address, but I know they have to have one.

you cant play this mod, because of your c3 and c3c german vers. your settler and all other original units have german names (siedler, arbeiter) and so the mod cant find the right units. the only way to play this mod, is that you rename all the entries to the german names.

I was - with a little help from Kamilian, GIDustin, and some others - working on completing this mod and adapting it into PTW and C3C format because I had a desire to see it completed.
I had customised around 65% of the units, the diplo texts, and was beginning work on the tech tree and civilopedia.
Then my old computer gave up the ghost on me and i lost everything - and I didnt have the heart to begin working on completing this all over again; and I kind of lost the plot on it in the interim.
And with Lord of the Mods nearing completion I didnt really see the point in restarting after such a long time.
Sorry guys I think this is rather dead.
I was thinking on "restarting" the completion work on this but id need to reteach myself everything I have forgotten about modding Civ.
And id need help.
But as i said with Lord of the Mods in development - I dont know if there is any point?

I downloaded the mod. I can get the title screen working, but when I start a new game all the civs are the usual ones (France, England etc). Any1 else have a problem like this?

Basically, the mod stinks. Don't bother trying to fix it. It's not really worth it. All animations and techs remain the same. Wat for the Lord of the Mods mod to come out, since it looks like a very promising mod.

LotM is in beta right now also, so it shouldn't more than a couple months at most. Depending on how far along it was when the beta started.
EDIT: In fact why am I still subscribed to this thread? I keep thinking when it pops up that it is for LotM.

Anyone have an issue with Complete version where you place the mod in and you can't see it anywhere to play it? How do you play if there is no .biq file? Sorry, I'm a newbie here.
