this is a bbc artical about the tomb of gilgamesh posibly being found.
i think it whould be a great discovery, yet i remain unconvinced by the artical..
has thear been any updates on the subject??

allso some what off topic, but any one have any ideas whear the tomb of alexander might be in alexandria, if its still even thear...

my question is, how in the world can the tomb of alexander be lost!? some one like him should be rember and tomb remain a place to visit.
im sure someday some guy will be diging a hole in his back yard, or some worker in a swear leaning asginst the wall when it falls in, and he finds him self the tomb of alexander

This is a really exciting discovery!

edit: especially this...
"The most surprising thing was that we found structures already described by Gilgamesh," Mr Fassbinder stated.

"We covered more than 100 hectares. We have found garden structures and field structures as described in the epic, and we found Babylonian houses."

But he said the most astonishing find was an incredibly sophisticated system of canals.

"Very clearly, we can see in the canals some structures showing that flooding destroyed some houses, which means it was a highly developed system.

"[It was] like Venice in the desert."

But was his buddy Enkidu real?
was he indeed :shifty: :sheep:? :queen: or :king:

and you call yourself a real man... ;)

but if anyone was a real man, them two are way up the list...

- edit -
did a seminar once about the pair of them.
they appeared to be the first publically "happy" "friends"

still wouldnt mind having enkidu as a mate....

Errr, I'm not so sure this is the direction Vietcong intended the thread to go in, so I'm just going to pull back (at least for now).

WarningThis is not a threadjack.

Sophisticated canals...

These canals talked about art and had cool shiny lights, a fountain and went to wine bars.

I know what they mean, but I just think it is funny.

this discovery was in 2003 or 2004
so i wanted to know if thear whear any updates??
