Tomb Raider the movie...

I've not seen the trailer yet but my friends told me that it's going to be a big hype. That's all. Apparently, the scenario is even more stupid than the game. And Angelina Jolie is not a good actress. I'll try to find and download this trailer and judge it myself.
And I don't even dare to imagine what Duke Nukem the movie will be. At least, I'm pretty sure Angelina will not be starring.

I think it is stupid to make a movie about a video game that was no good in the first place!
the ONLY reason the video game sold well was because of the main charictars big (.)(.)
and in my opinion Angelina's (.)(.) are not big enolf to be lara croft!
but I guess it kinda makes sense I mean get an bad actor to play a charicter from a bad game

Hey... I liked the game... It's a lot better then some other games out there where you just go around blowing monsters, or the undead up. At least the game has parts to it that make you think... It has a lot of puzzle solving in it. I can't say much for the movie though.
BTW: Kefka Coke SUX!

well I heard the movie sucked and that it was boring, I also heard it stuck to the game too closely. Now if you think about this it makes sense, have you ever watched someone play a video game? gets kinda boring quickly yes? Anyway Angelina is hot, though her tattoos could use removing, and there is nothing wrong with her (.) (.) just go rent Gia.
oh yeah and Pepsi over coke though colas suck in general.

My general idea was that (Kefka's right) it's stupid to make a movie from a video game that doesn't have a background. That was my point. And even though there was a deep background in Wing Commander, they succeeded in making the movie turn into a hype too. So far, no video game adaptation has been a success: Mario, Street Fighter (VanDamme :mad

, Mortal Kombat, Double Dragon, WC the movie... None of them has gone hit in the box-office. I'm not sure Lara Croft will do that. Nor Duke!

Boy, am I ever in the wrong place!

I'm actually a big fan of the Tomb Raider games and I've even written some fanfic about the Lara Croft character which has gained me positive feedback from all over the world.

So I may be a little biased (just warning you.)

The movie is actually very good. AJ is awesome as Lara--smart, sexy and dangerous. The action/effects sequences are terrific and the support characters are entertaining.

The screenplay is the biggest disappointment. It's apparently a lot better than the first one that was submitted to Paramount but it still tends to fall apart in the climactic final scenes, which was really irritating.

So the film could have been better, but it's certainly not terrible. If you enjoyed the Mummy Returns you will enjoy this too, though the Mummy films were probably better.
(Although they didn't have Angelina in tight tank tops, which makes Tomb Raider rather enjoyable to watch.)

Oh I've never played any of the TR saga. I don't like those 3D games. But well, to answer your question, well we could talk about her QI. Ok it wouldn't last long but at least we could laugh a bit.
