TOMO2 - Semi-OCC

With your vastly improved vocabulary I'm kind of getting used to the new Bedeyo.

I'm really confused. CVN hasn't changed her avatar in 24 hours even though Tomo would have changed his. But Tomo is Bede so he gets to verbalize. And Bede is viper so there will be bad decisions on city placement.

But seriously, I've never had a diplo victory. If we're gonna go for one, I will need a serious tutorial with lots of words of five letters or less.

There was an avatar missed in the Sakura series (the one intended for March 31) because I switched too early and Cuivienen switched too late.

1) Start to build the UN.
2) Gift the AIs much money and gifts so that most of them are p'lite or have huge grins.
3) Find out who's your rival. It's most of the times the most big AI.
4) Sign every AI in favor of you and not in favor of that AI.
5) Build the UN.
6) Hold the vote.

:crazyeye:

I expected to be able to get back online last night, but for some reason we lost our internet connection. For that reason, I didn't change the avatar *and* didn't get a chance to play the game (quizbowl tournament all day today). I'll play this evening, for real this time.

One would assume her civ play. (I got confused by my own avatar. :lol:)

No, school work is definitely NOT play. Especially not pseudoschool work like the History Day paper I need to finish by April 18th.

:confused: I meant that it was your civ play that got behind... because your schoolwork was killing you (which usually means you were behind)...

Also, how did I imply that school work was play? :confused:

Well, I was adding to what you said, not responding. Whomp asked if it was my school work or my civ play when I had explicitly said "I'll play it tonight."

I'm having computer problems; my computer won't turn on and stay on. (I'm at school right now.) Skip me for now.

I guess that puts me up. I'll get it and play later today (or tonight).

1400AD (0): Good to go. Now the going just needs to be good.

IT: Guimeraes: Walls --> Worker. The Portugese land a longbow next to Nicaea.

1405AD (1): Like, nothing.

IT: Nicaea: Courthouse --> Aqueduct
Varna: Courthouse --> Aqueduct

1410AD (2): Bombard a Portugese ship pair. Redline and kills a Portugese Rifleman.

IT: Constantinople: Cathedral --> Cavalry

1415AD (3): Bombard another Portugese Galleon. This is getting nowhere. Cuimeraes expands its borders.

1420AD (4): Nothing happened. At all.

IT: Dromons witness an attack on Lagos.

1425AD (5): Send cavs up to cherry-pick.

IT: Cataragea: Courthouse --> Marketplace

1430AD (6): Sink a galleon with bombardment. :D

Decide to take a chance. Battle of Lagos:

Vet cav defeats conscript Rifle, losing one hp.
Vet cav defeats conscript Rifle, losing two hp.

And... Lagos is ours! :dance:

Yay, I love cherry-picking. :)

My mouse has suddenly decided not to work in civ. :confused:

Save and load the game and it's good as new. :confused:

IT: Guimeraes riots! :blush:

1435AD (7): Note that Sumeria has taken two Eastern Portugese cities.

IT: Constantinople: Cavalry --> Cavalry

1440AD (8): Portugese Galleon bites the dust as two dromons score back-to-back double hits.

1445AD (9): Destroy another Galleon. This one was in Lisbon.

IT: The only two spare Riflemen the Portugese have attack our cav stack on a mountain, and win once. :mad:

Lisbon is rioting.

1450AD (10): Move the cavs back into Lagos.

Here's the plan:

1) City on blue dot.
2) Colony where it says "colony here". (:crazyeye:)
3) Incoming Crusaders can try to cherry-pick Lisbon. Land them next to Lisbon and wait until the Sumerians launch an attack on the city. Most likely they will fail and we get a weakened city.

Cuivienen just posted on my forum, so...

Cuivienen <-- UP! (And somewhat connected)
Admiral Kutzov <-- On deck (and reserve)
Whomp <-- In the hole (and the reserve on-decker)
Bede <-- Last reserve
Tomoyo <-- Just played

I was gonna post a got, then I saw the roster. This is a good thing cause I was confused about where to put the colony. ;)

:bump: Cvn must be out of commission still.

City one tile south of the coal. Colony, once Portugal loses Lisbon, build colony on northernmost gem. If possible, however, cherry-pick Lisbon.

@T--AK was being himself hence the ;)

I think the discussion should be what to do after Lisbon?

IT: Henry & Mao sign peace

Lots of paying more to renew deals. sumerians are military idiots, opting to pillage rather than attack Lisbon.

To make a long story short, Took Lisbon in 1495. Setler is moving on the coal. I'll try to get up a more detailed log later with the save.

Nice! :D

I think the settler should change course and go to the spot one tile west of the lake.
