Hey, me too! I'm in the 18th, and you?

I'm a 24 year old Civ veteran. I've been playing Civ II for about 6 years. Now that I've finally got access to a machine that can handle it, I bought Civ III today. I am so very happy. :D

Been Civving since 20 (11 years now) :D

Remember fondly my college years having access to a department computer and "pulling all-nighters" playing civ. Too bad I have to work now....;)

Yeaah 0-10 a new generation of Civfanatics rise. Train them to be as much addicted as we are :goodjob:
Well I'm 22 I think you can't be old enough to conquer the world :king: I for my part will surely play when my age doubled. But at this time I may played this game so long that I might lost track of my age.

Well, I admit 12 pages is a lot to dig through, china444, but Lexiloo said he/she was 10 in this post.
Some of us only have 6 pages with 40 posts each. Still the same amount of posts, but I think that is better.

From china444:1 vote for 0-10. Who is that??
Quite right: Lexiloo, aged 10. (She turned 10 on January 30, 2003.)

She is an avid player and a member of my household.

The other playing members are aged 12, 13, 14, 43, 53.

Lexiloo is kinda shy about writing on CFC..............she had to be cajoled into voting and writing that one post! ;)

(She told me she doesn't have time to write, right now!) :)

I am 43 now. I remember playing CIV1 eons ago. My last civ game was CIVII with a space ship victory (only victory type I like) and then killed my CD drive while playing the follow-on SMAC game (transcendence being the only victory type I like there). For the sake of my family, I haven't had the CD drive fixed. (Too many long nights of go to bed or just one more turn) I have been lurking here for a long time and now that CIVIII is stable, I may have to get that drive fixed. Is there a 12 step program for CIV players? :D

Actually, I just remembered seeing her post, and knew roughly where to find it. ;)

@CORVINUS: Maybe a 12-step program would work! I can see it now: "Hello. My name is Padma, and I'm a Civ-Addict."

Then again, I think I have become more addicted to CFC than even to Civ! :crazyeye:

I started playing when I was 9, because my mother bought it. She plays it a lot more than I do.:crazyeye:

EDIT: BTW I am 10 now.

im surprised at the amout of young (<18) people that play civ 3. Im 15 and there is only one person, (apart from in my family) that has ever even heard of civilisation(been playin since was 3). Thats mainly why i like cfc so much - cause it gives me an opportunity to talk about the game to other players, and find answers to things that have been annoying me.

ps hail bamspeedy

I'm 45. I started with civI (Mac) in 1992 (it came on three 3.5 inch floppies, which I still have, even though I don't have any computers with floppy drive anymore). I figure I've spent a total of 22 weeks of my life playing civ in one form or another. And I still only play civIII at chieftan.:wallbash:

Some hilarious answers in here

I am 29, and been playing the Civ series since 1995, when I got my first PC. :)

For studying...

I'm think this would be much more fun if we had to guess each others ages. (For people who actually post alot anyhow).

Anyhow, I'm 22. Been playing Civilization since Civ1 when I was 12.

I find it amazing how many rather-old (>30) play Civ - my parents only know how to use the internet (and Word), and even there I must help them all of the time!:crazyeye:

Some of us old folks have been around computers for a while. I won't bore you with stories about the IBM 360 I used in 1971, but I've been using computers most of my professional life.

BTW, I'll be 55 in just over a week. :bday:
