Like RealGoober, I completely missed Civ I. I didn't miss Civ II because it somehow made it onto the computer in my Grade 6 class. Now I'm 17 and completely addicted to C3C, but I would've thought the main age group would've been 16-20. Apparently not...

I am over 50.

I play when all the time when I`m awake, about 5 hours a day.

I`m so old I hired a youngster to move the mouse..

I can't believe it! Reaching 67, I keep spending two or three hours a day with Civ PTW and I hope to do it as long as possible.
I don't need anybody to mouse my game!
I'd like to play Civ120 but I'm not sure that Sid will be patient enough to wait until that time. That game is still pretty young not to say that it is a "baby game" (not a game for babies). Think! It started all at the beginning of the nineties just yesterday.
Shinoui, still kickin'

I've just turned 38, just recently started Civ III, and just slightly more recently found these boards. Lot's of good stuff here, but catching up is hard to do!

I did play Civ I when it was new, but for some reason I skipped Civ II entirely. Still not sure why I did that... :undecide:

Heck, before that I even played the original Civilization board game in my college days. Now that's some good memories!:)

I'm 15 now. And I've been playing this game for more than a year now. It's great, I've probably spent more time playing this then I have spent doing my schoolwork:)

This thread has been going on for too long. I think it's because it's still being advertised on the homepage.

Moderator Action: Define "too long". :p

New folks might still want to tell us a little about themselves. :)

I COMPLEATLY missed civ one and two. But when i was 16 two friends named RealGoober and Vancouver2010 (not using real names for reasons i wish not to disclose) told me about this wonderfull game where you get to build an entire Civ and i have been hooked ever since. I now have C3C and am SO friggen addicted.

Yeah, when I first came here, that's where I found the thread...

...I moved up to the 16 - 20 slot yesterday :D

It's the only thread besides the '1000 clues' one that I still receive updates to. And it gets kinda boring. I'll probably unsuscribe. And I never implied it should be locked...just commenting.

35.5 here. What worries me is that I probably have less than 40 years of playing left.

I was ready to marry when Civ3 came out. Sid, I owe you one.

You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave...

Welcome to the Hotel California, San!

46 here. I've been playing the various versions since the game came out. Sid's the Man! I love several of his games. Just recently installed PTW and am debating getting Conquests.

I'm new to fanatics site. I've never done this before so pleeeeze be gentle.......

15 years old. Started playing CIV 1 at primary school of all places. Got civ 2 and played that, then borrowed Alpha centauri and finally got civ3 and then civ3 ptw

Welcome to CFC, Gryphons Scream. I'm another oldie - a few years on you. This thread's been around so long I've had a birthday since it started.
If Pirates! was one of Sid's earlier games you liked, you'll be glad to know Pirates 2 is expected next year. The only game I know of that might take some of my time away from Civ 3. Since Conquests is available for $10 now, I'd advise you go ahead and get it. Once the bugs are ironed out it's going to be great. Even with the bugs it ain't bad!

I'm 25.

I think I was in Junior High when I started playing CivI. I've been a CivFanatic for most of my life, and when I'm 80 years old, this will still be true.

Civ is overall, the. best. game. ever.

I'd figure you should stop playing when your fingers shrivel up and fall off.

Well, I got my 11 year old started on Civ3 last week. He plays, of all things, Rise of Nations at school when he's in computer lab and everything is done. He prefers Civ3, tho. :)

I feel bad. . . I got him started on Vanilla Civ3 to learn the game, then here I am playing C3C. . . But hey, it's a learning experience! :D

He can play RoN at the school's computer lab? Wow. When I'm at the comptuer lab the most I can play is a quick 5-minute session of Kingsofchaos and then get off immediately to avoid getting chastised by the librarian.
