Destroyed 3 U.S. planes in Tenate and one cruiser outside the city. Lost 2 bombers and a zero.
With the start of the new year, the Japanese are thinking it's time for us all to begin anew and end this senseless war. We realize that our expansionist days have come to an end. We renounce all ambitions on US territory. We are content to let Holland's last colonial city be so they can continue to remenisce about the glory days of their lost empire. The Commonwealth no longer pose a threat. They may retake some of their west coast cities but these have all been plundered and will never amount to much again. The U.S. were very annoying. First they wiped me out of the Pacific but then they have the nerve to interupt my invasion of Australia and draw away my airforce and reinforcements. Still, they will never make much more progress in their attempt to retake the Asian islands and will never be more than a minor irritant. My supply lines are hundreds of miles, theirs are thousands. They may lose all their recent gains if they fail to take advantage of this peace offering. Maybe we should start another League of Nations. We could even call it the United Nations with Hitler, Hirohito, Franklin and Churchill all having seats on the Security Council.
Would it help if we said we were sorry for Nanking, Pearl Harbour, Indonesia and Darwin?
