Tourism Made Easy

Moderator Action: Moved to Stories & Let's Plays

I'm not discussing moderator action here.

In general, I think a strategy post should contain text. A video is fine of course to showcase or explain things, but there should be text where you explain the ideas and strategies and that people can respond to.

There's a reason you have zero substantive comments: if all we see is a relatively unknown poster with a youtube link, most of us will probably just ignore it completely...

My advice: start a new thread in S&T, explain your thoughts, and then link to the video.

How do you know? Trying to speak for other people doesn't lend credibility to your theory. Pick any youtube video and the amount of comments it has is substantially less than the number of views it has. This doesn't support your theory that people are ignoring it completely just because they're not speaking up about it. You'll find a similar disparity in views/posts of a thread on a forum.

Thank you for taking the time. However, it's been my experience that if a thread gets moved and you re-create it, you just get actioned for "disobeying." The video has a relatively narrow focus despite covering much more than it set out to. Most people are going to ignore it because they already have a grasp of the subject matter. Others still might ignore it because they haven't been bitten by ideology unhappiness yet and don't feel an hour long presentation is worth their time.

None of this has any bearing on the fact that the post was better categorized as tips and strategy than a LP.

Nice work. Didn't make it through the whole video, mostly because I was looking for max tourism vs just enough. Like your pacing, pick good spots to deep dive, enjoyed the time I spent watching it.

Would never have guessed this would be in "Stories and Lets Play" almost missed it if not for the "moved" link in strategy.

I REALLY appreciate this feedback. Part of the reason why I haven't done a LP and can't watch many myself is because while the overarching ideas are of interest, I don't think the minutia of every build order and unit movement is. With this video, I kind of wanted to experiment on the possibility of a "condensed" LP. I wasn't totally sure of when would be a good time deep dive as you say and piece it all together. So, thank you very much for this.

I'm not really experienced/qualified enough for a max tourism guide. Luckily, there are plenty of those around for those looking for them. Mostly I wanted to cover the bare minimum since I've read a lot of people thinking it was just for CV or getting blind-sided by ideology unhappiness. Good luck with that though :)
